Elections RFK Selected as United States Secretary of Health and Human Services

That posters kid had a seizure, my niece ended up hospitalized for a week, I’ve had multiple family members and close friends with severe adverse reactions due to vaccines.

It happens and people should be well informed before they make their choices.

Why I find this whole thing ridiculous is that the same posters who are saying that drug manufacturing and development should be nationalized are also arguing against taking away liability immunity from the same manufacturers.

If Covid wasn’t handled so incredibly poorly people wouldn’t be as hesitant about regular vaccines as they are.
Nothing I've said has anything to do with liability. I'm all for all kinds of people being punished harshly for all kinds of things--I don't think financial penalties for corporations doing heinous shit are worth a fuck, for example, but that's all beside the point here, at least in terms of anything I have to say on the subject.

So you want them liable or not?

The answer is that depends. But in a world where RFK Jr. may end up in a position to make decisions that affect all Americans there's not really any room for such nuance. And again, in deference to @PhitePhan and his child, I'm not interested in debating the uncaring logic of stats and rates and so on in front of him.

What? You asked me about vaccine hesitancy and then posted a laughing emoji when I told you my kid was hurt by the MMR… but “in deference” to me you won’t discuss “stats and rates”?

You’re weird, man.

I withdrew that and edited the post. Please see below.
Edit:

Excuse me, I have to edit my response. I scanned too quickly and missed your comment about your child suffering a serious adverse reaction. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Having personal contact with such an incident is an understandable cause for concern about vaccines in general. I could debate about your individual experience vs statistics but it seems in poor taste and is unlikely to accomplish much so I'll leave the discussion right here.
Think what you want. Sorry to hear about your experience; it must be quite difficult.

I did miss your edit, apology accepted.

That said, the experience with my child wasn’t the reason my opinions on vaccination changed, it was actually diving into the research after this that was a turning point for me.

Long story short, it is clear that vaccines (for the most part) DO curb diseases (as intended), but the safety research into many vaccines is very limited and insufficient to actually know the totality of harms done. Some harms are small and insonsequential, some are lifelong… and so far, per independent review and government analysis, many potential harms are simply unknown.

“A CDC study indicated that, as with all passive surveillance systems, underreporting occurs with VAERS…”

Adverse events from vaccines are common but underreported, with less than one percent reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Low reporting rates preclude or delay the identification of "problem" vaccines, potentially endangering the health of the public. New surveillance methods for drug and vaccine adverse effects are needed.

Authors' conclusions: The design and reporting of safety outcomes in MMR vaccine studies, both pre- and post-marketing, are largely inadequate.

I believe that vaccinations DO have a place, and that they should be given to vulnerable individuals, but NOT administered haphazardly to every single child regardless of individual risk factors.

Go ahead and share the study with us. Let’s have a look.
Are you really not familiar with Barry Young? He was a government worker for New Zealand Health who was fired for raising a safety signal. He then leaked the record level public health data to Steve Kirsch. The New Zealand government responded by arresting the whistleblower and attempting to remove the data from the Internet.

The data, as published on the Internet, includes date(s) of Covid-19 dose(s) and date of death. if the shots were safe, the deaths should be randomly distributed after the doses, but they are not.

Steve Kirsch has numerous posts relating to this story on his substack (https://kirschsubstack.com/), which you can search with the keyword "Barry Young".

This particular post (https://kirschsubstack.com/p/data-from-us-medicare-and-the-new) contains Kirsch's MIT presentation, information access to the raw data and to the code that Kirsch used to analyze the data.

I return to my question: If agencies are considering epidemiological information to verify safety then why are none of these agencies attempting to replicate Barry Young's study?

People weren't so hesitant about vaccines until a bunch of dumb asshats got it in their heads that they cause autism, and then that was dramatically compounded by a Presidential administrative environment in which the vaccine response to a deadly pandemic was to create partisan political polarization. We never used to have any kind of serious, large scale resistance -let alone based almost entirely on political partisanship- to getting kids vaccines in order to go to school lol. But now it's a matter of Big Left Politics daring to tell red blooded Americans what they can and can't do, which is entirely unacceptable regardless of harm.

I have serious doubts about his cognitive ability to fulfill his duties and his past statements regarding the subject of vaccines. Definitely many better picks available
