Reddit's New Content Policy: Hate Towards "Majority" Groups Permissable

the "situation" is your problem with a business decision made by a website that goes against your personal politics..
for the rest of the world its a company doing what they want with their platform
That's fine, they have a cute place where only authorized speech is allowed. Sounds like a cool place to hide from scary word and ideas.

I mean, they could've just done this without explicitly telling people. What the fuck were they thinking? They're getting smashed for their new TOS, and are gonna lose a lot of members over it.

They jumped the shark.

Virtue signaling is racism insurance.

"In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is...in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.” ― Theodore Dalrymple

Sounds really stupid and also racist. I just won't be using reddit anymore, problem solved.

The left's supposed indignation over "racism" is all pretense. They don't actually believe there's a moral imperative to not treat people unfavorably based on presumptions about members of their race. They've just embraced that rhetoric because it resonates with reasonable people. But it's obvious now that for the left it's just used as part of a bait and switch.

lol what gibberish is this... waste of time to read what you posted

Or how about don't try to define hate speech at all and let people say what they want. A call to violence is another thing.

Nah fuck that, I wouldn't want to read somewhere where people can freely chuck racial slurs around. It wouldn't make for fun discussion.

Leftist have to change their racist definition of "racism" which is Anti White. It allows non Whites to say hateful stuff towards Whites and it would not be racist, but Whites can't say nothing hateful towards minorities because that is then suddenly racist. It basically allows White bashing. If the Leftists are not going to change this definition, then every non self hating white person should realize that the Left hates White people

Most people who are left leaning on there seem to disagree with this decision too. It isn't a left Vs right thing.

I love it when leftists try to argue with me that the right remains the more racist half of the political spectrum.

The left is intentionally institutionalizing racism everywhere they possibly can.

Anyone who even use terms left vs right are brainwashed to begin with lol. They sure love those labels .

No, people who use terms like "left vs. right" are referring to the mapping of generalized political beliefs on a linear east/west scale. This is tangibly defined. These political beliefs can be mapped using more complex grids, like the popular "political compass", but ultimately that's all one is doing; generalizing coordinates correlating to political philosophy. Labels like "liberal" and "conservative" are similarly labels corresponding to a set of generalized beliefs of a political character. "Democrat" and "Republican" are labels corresponding to actual political entities. Labels themselves are a tool people use to facilitate the discussion of more complex, abstract ideas using language-- which however fluid is ultimately a concrete object indicated by sounds and signs.

Grow up. A 13-year-old nitwit might find your hot take to be deep, but it's deep like Jack Handy.

Is this the world or US ? There is so many people I can now make fun of.

Exactly. They reserve the right to judge you based on your race alone.

You're wrong. No one can be 100 percent left or right. To much grey area in life. You can be right and agree with some left ideas, same with the left agreeing with some right.

Only a fool deals an absolute.

The world is only 17% white people so Im sure Reddit will no doubt be quick to come to the rescue of any mistreatment towards that minority.
