Prediction: Jones exposes Aspinall into a new Weidman

Jones will chop down Aspinall with kicks, clinch and wrestling. Aspinall is only used to fighting sluggers.

The Jones haters will say he beat a massively overhyped brit, and the fans of Tom Aspinall will abandon him. Aspinall will turn into a new Weidman.

Another prediction: Jones vs Ngannou never happens. Jones can claim to be the goat and sail off into the sunset
Dana said the fight will 100% happen. I'm convinced it doesn't happen and the chances are only about 20% it happens. Why would Jon fight a retired fighter if he wanted to fight Aspinall? Jones doesn't want the fight. If it happens, Aspinall KO's Jon in the second round.

Edit: Jon wanted nothing to do with Ngannou. He's in the 'GSP phase' of his career where he is cherry-picking favorable/easy matchups. I don't like it but I understand it.

People are already talking about Aspinall even before he pulled a Weidman.

I have never heard of a more overhyped fighter. Maybe Ronda. But the Aspinall syndrome is worse. Ronda was at least an olympian
Why overhyped?
He is the most dangerous finisher in the UFC since Ngannou, and outside a freak injury, has absolutely steamrolled the competition. He is extremely fast, hits hard, has explosive takedowns, nasty GnP and excellent submissions.

I think Aspinall is an exceptionnal talent, and it will be a huge win for Jones if he beats him.

Jones fluidity is very good. He is not bound by Muay Thai or MMA footwork. His kicks are different.

Jones is like an MVP type athlete but he has the grappling skills too. He is a very, very tough guy to beat stylistically when he is ON.

I don't think Jones is the GOAT however. Ngannou probably is. But Jones style is the ultimate.
You post that Buckley is not athletic and that Jones is? Your take is pretty dumb to be honest.

It's not hard to go on a KO streak in that division without actually amounting to much

If Aspinall were to be "the new Weidman" he'd beat Jones twice, defend the belt a couple of times then go on a bad streak of KO losses/injuries

If Jon beats Tom, it’ll be one of the most important wins of all. He has the best fight IQ ever but is it enough to overcome a younger, bigger, faster, stronger and more powerful natural heavyweight?

Jon fanboys think we just hate him but in reality, we just want the HW belt to stop being held hostage and we want the biggest fight to be made right now. Period.
He already beat a younger, bigger, faster, stronger, more natural heavyweight and people immediately discredited the fight and the fighter because Jon made it look so easy. Despite no one else being able to finish Ciryl Gane in his entire career lmao.

Aspinall will run circles over Jones and knock him out. That’s if Jones actually takes the fight and doesn’t retire first.

The place where Tom fans or Jon haters are gaslighting themselves. Is Tom is skilled and in the upper echelon of fighting dudes that's live and die by standing and trading until they get the ko in the first or get ko'ed in the first. If most of the guys Tom has fought make it to the second round its an ugly rest of the fight.

Jon actually fights with skill and has easily dismantled the two actually skilled hw fighters in the ufc with ease. So if Tom wants to win he's going to need far more than knockout power. He's going to have to be able to dominate Jon In an area where he's never been dominated for a full 5 rounds to win. So Goodluck I guess

Until he's not. Then Tom was never good. Just like the rest.

I think that's something you guys like to spin, "never that good" It's BS

I don't recall anyone discrediting Jones opposition after he beat them unless is was called for. Jon got his reputation for being the GOAT based on beating opponents that were "that good"

The irony of you claiming to “know MMA at a high level” and then saying Ngannou is the GOAT seriously is not lost on me here.

I'm not going to lie though, knowing that I was fighting Ciryl Gane instead of Francis, it was kind of nice! Francis is a scary joker.”

Lets be totally honest

If and when Jones beats Aspinal

The narrative will IMMEDIATELY switch to- Aspinal was green and ever really that good.

Like how y'all did with Gane after the sound of the bell
