Media Pimblett Goes off on Helwani in Interview with Dana White (UPDATE: Helwani Responds).

Allot of Paddy and Dana claims were imo refuted well by Ariel: 22:57 in the video Such as Leaving ESPN on good terms and could have stayed and been paid highly but it was a decision he made. Also there was a voice message showing Paddy reaching out to Ariel for NY 40:10 unlike the claim in Dana and Paddy podcast. Ariel made a good point too how Dana makes money off being a promoter for fighters yet complaining Ariel is making money off fighters.

Personally, I think Paddy just did what the Boss wanted him to do and if Paddy gets big then wants to go after Dana well now he is just a confused person and doesn't know who to blame or knows how things work. Devil is in the details.

Dana White: I love everything about this kid

Ariel Shillwani's response: cry like a baby on camera.

Edit: Nevermind, Ariel just completely obliterated Paddy and Dana on the MMAhour. He had receipts, text messages, tweets, and voicemail evidence that contradicts what Paddy said. He basically 50-44'd Dana/Paddy
Yeah I just watched it, this Dana and Paddy podcast was geared towards 18 and younger..

1 or 2 losses and Dana doesn’t give a fuck about Paddy anymore. He’s just the flavor of the month. Once the PPV buys go down it’s over.

And it's supposed to be a bad thing that Ariel uses youtube as his platform to pay himself for his effort? Is he supposed to do it for free? His job is to bring viewers by providing good content and engaging the audience, that's how that works. Paddy is on youtube as well, being a content creator, so his logic is stupid. This was just a way to lick Dana's balls more than anything.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing<45>....Thats why Dana in the podcast said..."I love this kid" .....I was like, thats what I would say if my son said something stupid but I wanted to cover it up and support him.

Wow is 282 trending so poorly they had to resort to this?
I'm calling it now Ariel hits Paddy with a chair during a backstage segment.

Holy shit paddy has such an L take here, not the biggest Helwani fan but you can’t dispute he’s done his fair share of work of putting rising fighters on the map /promoting the sport of MMA as a whole /guy whos not afraid to call out Dana on his bullshit

I think I will forgive Paddy as a dumb young move because where his heart is outside of fighting. IDK, I have a BS meter that goes so far till I look forward to seeing someone like that lose.

If anyone really wants to know why they (media) wont pay to go on, Ben Fowlkes went thru it on his Podcast.. (Its not groundbreaking stuff though.) I have no idea why Fowlkes hasnt got a bigger following nowadays, I used to love him on Junkie, probably because of this whole The Athletic debacle though.

I hope he doesn't get mad at me for linking to an unlisted episode though.. its timestamped and ready. Maybe it can gain him a follower or two.

And this is my comment from earlier in the thread, before Ariels response.
I dont think Ariel really cares about Paddy.. but the bigger issue is if Boylan becomes a bigger manager and gets a hold of more "stars" , and maybe not only UK based ones as well (US). Then Ariel will have 2 major agents that wont have their fighters go on Ariel and then it will eventually become a bit of a problem.

And then the practice of paying for interviews will grow as well, and then eventually all the agents will demand it from everyone cos they, fighters+managers provisions, have no side jobs, gigs (in cage endorsements gone etc) thanks to the UFC, except for the social media content creation nowadays. Its a different world.

I agree and hope he sees this was a dumb thing to do. Maybe he should look a little at the people he surrounds himself with (graham, Dana) who do not have his best interests at heart.

Maybe this will be a growth opportunity for him and he will own up to being wrong and offer an olive branch.

Unless you are Conor or one of the very very few Dana favorites like Brad Pickett, Dana moves on to the next fighter once you hit a had stretch. Happened to many many fighters over the years.

Fighters need to understand it is an individual sport. When you are a fighter, the promoter is not your friend. Neither is the press. Each party uses each other and need each other. It's part of the sport eco system.

Ariel aint doin nothin physical. He couldnt hurt a fly. In Internets fighting though he is like Fedor.

Ariel made them two look bad. I can't believe I sat through over an hour of that. I'm with Ariel on this one.
Just the clips he posted were bad enough, even without commenting on them. Most of Ariel's points, the fans would have figured out on their own anyway, but Ariel just laid it all out in devastating fashion.
