He was making close to 500k with ESPN and turned down a 5% pay cut, do the math. How much does he make? Ballpark it even.

He's a journalist, not Dana's employee. Are you out of your mind?I speak about it as somebody that has heard both sides. If you disagree that’s fine. But how are you going to defend Helwani for breaking the Lesnar news? I don’t care how much you hate Dana. But where’s the part where you leave all common sense behind, just to run your own narrative?
You allow people to stab you in the back in real life, after you’ve treated them above and beyond? And you just act like it never happened?
Please, DM me your real name. I’d like to submit your name to the Vatican for canonization as a walking talking Saint.
(Watches Paddy watching the thread)
So you don't know how much he makes? He was making close to 500k with ESPN and turned down a 5% pay cut, do the math.
No no, you are the fucking worst.Says the guy who is the fan of the fakest dude in the sport
You are spittin the Dana narrative about the Brock news. It has already been explained numerous times in here that someone in the ufc gave him the ok and Dana didn’t know about it. This had been the normal process with the relationship between Ariel and the UFC in terms of breaking news however It was such a huge deal in this case because they were creating a huge preview video for Brock and was gonna break it themselves.
Ariel even stated that had he known this was going to happen, he wouldn’t have leaked it. This was also explained in detail with his Schaub drama. There was literally no backstabbing here.
Hilarious. Ariel has @theufcbaddy shook so badly that he's lurking Sherdog a day before his fight.
Chin up Paddy lad. Give Ariel a call, he doesn't hold grudges.
Paddy's logic dictates he should be paying all his guests, including Dana White.Meh.. the whole 'pay or no pay for appearance' thing has no right or wrong side to it imo. It's just two people seeing things differently, someone getting offended and it snowballs.
What I do agree with Pimblett about is his distrust of Ariel's method of fake-befriending fighters. An interviewer can be affable but still keep a normal amount of distance between himself and his guest. Ariel crosses the line imo and it comes across as fake and predatory. He might not be a terrible person but that part of his public persona I find very unlikeable.
Helwani is an idiot. Two years out of college communications the UFC gig kind of fell into his lap. As a nobody he had access to the UFC, and fighters. Exclusives, and 1 on 1s, etc. It was a great mutually beneficial working relationship.
If he wanted to be Woodward, or Bernstein and actually make some kind of difference in the world. He would have tried to find a legit job in investigative journalism.
Did he honestly believe he was going to win a Pulitzer Prize for Journalism, by breaking Lesnar’s return?
How about show a little gratitude for the opportunities the UFC afforded him (Fox, and ESPN)? He upstaged Dana out of pure ego. Then literally cries on air because Dana shit canned his ungrateful ass.
Sorry, but that is 100% on Helwani. He knows who Dana is, and how he operates. How did he think that was going to turn out?
Thats not my point when someone has reached a certain level of popularity. Ariel isn't helping them by having them on his show. They are helping him. Thats someone like conor or even paddy at the moment. The can reach more people just using their own social media platforms. Ariel is benefitting way more than them. That doesn't mean he has to pay them. I haven't watched ariel's show in years cos their is better stuff out there. All this controversy is doing ariel a big favour. Will give him a bump in ratings.
Who are these reporters that don’t get called out by fighters? This is not the first time i've heard fighters calling out Ariel over something. I don't hear that from other reporters. So that leads me to believe it's something on Ariel's end if he's rubbing people the wrong way.
Add Luke thomas and BC, and I’m sure there are others I can’t think of. It comes with the jobWho are these reporters that don’t get called out by fighters?
DC, Bisping, Cruz, Hardy, Felder, Chael etc. All those guys have been called out by other fighters.
Helwani is the the truth ere.Say what you want about Ariel, but that dude has giant balls and you have to respect that.
When you bring facts like that it's hard to argue against you lol.
