Media Pimblett Goes off on Helwani in Interview with Dana White (UPDATE: Helwani Responds).

Whats the pay for the contract based on? Views.

Paddy looks like a child and the media just happen to catch the thick scouser accent slagging off hewani ..... Like a set up to trick

Why would he have to pay and not a major sports network or news service like ESPN, AP, Reuters? If that becomes a standard model, then yes. If it's just him because he's independent, no. They all make money the same way from covering sports. The fact that he decided to stay smaller, and control the production himself also means he takes on the risks, but it doesn't magically make him not a journalist.

Fair enough. Makes sense.

It's hard to really find anything wrong with Ariel's retort in this instance in my opinion. I would say he maybe took things a touch personally when money was requested for an interview, but getting paid for a media interview that you initiated isn't particularly reasonable. Ariel is also providing proof whereas Dana and Paddy's issues are predominately baseless. I'm not much an Ariel guy (or hater), but I don't feel he is the one that looks bad in this instance.

Yeah, seemed like Ariel had no patience for the manager guy. But probably because he thinks the guy to be a crook.

This whole thing just shows Paddy isn't very bright and is getting screwed by his manager.

Also, being associated too closely with Dana just loses you fans. Dana as a promoter should know this. No one likes the teacher's pet. Even Conor had to look like he had somewhat of an adversarial relationship with him. Dana's killing his own golden goose.

Because Dana is petty and doesn't like Ariel.
It goes back to when Ariel ruined Brock returning surprise. Supposedly, he was trusted with the information and got greedy and broke the news early. He thought he was being a journalist but all he did was break the UFC’s trust

Yeah -- and I get it seems ridiculous to Ariel and bizarre, but he probably could've just been the bigger man and said "sorry I won't be paying" instead of choosing to get insulted; nothing egreious for Ariel's end, but a touch excessive spice. perhaps.

They were jilted lovers way before that.

It's crazy how Dana is the representative of a billionaire dollar company, WME must find him an embarrassment.
Guessing it was a term of the sale that he had to stay in charge.
Paddy's just an overrated moron, can't wait to see him lose to any good fighter.

This is misinformation that keeps getting spread bc of ppl like you.

So Ariel should go bankrupt so people can be on his show? Well, that's pretty stupid business, sir.

How does someone give 18% of nothing? I'll wait. it sounds like your gripe is with the people who pay Ariel a contract that doesn't change regardless of who is on his show and how good or bad the views are.....

He didn't see the rebuttal and is just making shit up based on what Paddy said.

I remember when it happened{<huh}

I’m sorry Ariel! But it’s the truth!

He got the information form somebody in the UFC that told him he could break the story so he did and Dana didn't know/want that to happen.. Dana blamed Helwani for doing his job.

Flat fee contract, it doesn't change no matter how many views the show gets or who's on the show. No bonuses either for more views.

Problem is we have two dubious sides with contradicting claims. I think Ariel was still on UFC's payroll back then, too, speaking of jobs

Did you even read the first post? Can you even read? Why are you even posting the podcast after nearly 30 pages deep into a thread which is what the entire thread is about. Your stupidity confuses me.
a bunch of threads got merged. Your stupidity confuses me.
