Perreira vs Cyril Gane - who has the advantage?

Would be a great fight. I favor Pereira. He is reported to walk around at 230+ between fights, so I don't see him having a problem moving to heavyweight. And when it comes to skills, I honestly favor Pereira.

When it comes to striking resumes, Alex Pereira has by far the more accomplished striking resume outside the UFC. I'd expect ~235-240 pound Pereira vs 245-250 pound Gane. So all Cyril Gane really has is a 10 pound weight advantage.

Gane is more diverse in his striking and elusive. I think also Gane would be too big and strong for Poatan.

I'd favor Gane 70/30.

Eh Gane jumps around too much, it's just no one has punished him for it because they aren't a bunch of great strikers at HW. He dominated everyone except for the 2 guys who dominated him.

So in a way we haven't seen enough of Gane.

It's obviously intriguing though, Gane is bigger, Alex is more skilled and experienced.

poatan's a pretty big guy, but some of these HWs are enormous and it's kinda in 'believe it when i see it' territory for me. then again they're saying the reach is only 81" vs 79" (with gane), so maybe not.

But you have to admit Alex chin is unpredictable. He can eat a head kick from Khalil and in another fight get koed by adesanyas punches

That's because against adesanya he was sucking an extra 20 lbs out of his body(lot of it water), which also comes from your brain making you less likely to be able to absorb punches well.

much better HW title fight, way more interesting, frees up LHW, etc.

i think the fight is much much closer than people think.

slight edge could go to gane just because of established HW MMA resume.

but poatan ain't no bitch and he could def pull it off.
