Personally, I think RICO is bullshit in general.

I KNOW that it doesn't apply to the President. That's beside the point though. It's some lame cheat you've been convinced through Hollywood, that only applies to the Italian Mafia. Meanwhile, all of your minority buddies are getting fucked by it.

I think the substantive details will prove to be true.

I think what happened (my guess) is that Cohen is the source. Really who could it be beyond Cohen, his lawyer or the Mueller team, and we know the Mueller team doesn't leak.

But journalists will often resort to misdirection to protect a source. If they did not point at the Mueller team the natural inclination of everyone would be Cohen or his lawyers, again as Mueller does not leak.

So when they came out with the story and pointed the finger at Mueller's team that pissed Mueller off. They were making his team look bad. So he cleared the air. IF you look at what he said he did not say the substantive details of the scoop were wrong. He said it was 'not accurate'. That could easily be referring to the 'source'.

You're whinging about turning people in investigations, a tool that Rudy Giuliani and Robert Mueller both used in the highest of profile cases successfully. The law on flipping people has been quite clear since Giuliani's work, despite your obfuscation on this point.

You can think it's some corrupt hatchet job, but here in America we have a history of putting bad people away with the exact tactics you cry about.
 
I don't know the facts but you can bet between all those currently investigating Trump including Mueller, the S.District NY, the USA DC, the USA EDV, New York City, and New York State that they will get to the bottom of Trump's financial dealings and I certainly do not believe Trump did business clean as a whistle.

I absolutely think his fortune is at risk of a Rico Forfeiture and that his kids who were Directors of the business and charity are at great risk. Particularly with the life long accountant participating.

Anyone who has not seen this should take the time and watch it. Not because they have to take it for fact but just so they know the lines that are being pursued.

Yup. and one or more of Trumps kids will be at real threat of jail time. The Charity and his Business ties to Russia and Mob money are a real risk to them as the Directors of the companies.

President Trump flees to Russia a-la Edward Snowden and claims asylum from persecution from the "Deep State."

He didn't put sanctions on Russia. The administration and congress have put toothless sanctions on a few russian citizens, and they recently voted to ease some of those.

I can agree, except that what Mueller didn't say gives us no useful information.

Uh, that’s not rat mentality. They typically give information on their boss or people higher in the organization to get lighter sentences. It’s not about who hates who it’s about going up the chain of command.

In this case Trump was Cohen’s boss. And people take him seriously because apparently he gave prosecutors valuable information, like evidence that Trump broke campaign finance laws.

He’s a liar but given his circumstances it would be painfully stupid for him to lie now in public. So yeah, what he says should be taken seriously but through a critical lense. Seems like you’re writing off everything he says out of partisanship.
