If someone wants to insist Topuria has no need to defend and should immediately be booked for a WW title shot with a MW title shot and then the BMF and then the HW title on the same night and guarantees he wins and all those fights don't even need to happen and we should give him all the belts now and there is no reason for him to defend against Arman because he would win so badly it could result in a murder charge.

What you're describing is a result of the WWE era, lad.

That sort of posting happens a lot more these days because people lean into the hyperbole and trolling. Heck, I do it myself for a bit of fun, especially with Topuria haha. While I agree he'd have been better off saying nothing and just taking his NC instead of everything else he did, I don't agree that it would be over by now.

We'd still be at the point where the HW champion's been out for 4 months due to an eye poke that didn't actually injure him while having no return time table in sight. It's not like he's got a detached retina or anything that would explain this. His eyes are physically fine yet he won't rematch Gane. That would of course lead to questions.

His mouth didn't do him any favours, but it's his actions that are the bigger problem.
