News Paramount buys UFC rights. PPV model is dead

This is the best news I've heard in years. No more illegal streams, will be buying a subscription today.
We've long said we'd be willing to pay monthly for everything, fight nights and PPVs, just not the crazy $80 a pop

It's here. And its on a platform I already have because of Paw Patrol lol.

A dad's gotta do what a dad's gotta do. Btw I just checked, I was paying for Paramount and didn't even know it. 😂

So how does UFC make money from this people pay for the Paramount Sub will there be an add on or something.

Paramount is paying the UFC, in hopes more people get paramount monthly subscriptions

UFC is getting paid how every other TV show or sporting event does now from their broadcasters

Sounds fantastic on paper...

But my fear is two-fold

Will they have incentive to put on high quality cards now?

And how will this effect fighter pay?

If Dana and the higher ups.got a Gazillion Dollars. You think he's gonna give more than 12k/12k from the kindness of his wife beating heart?

I stopped following when the went to espn because it was ppv, espn plus, annd espn. Too much to keep track of. My post here will ajj go ow that. I haven't bought a ppv for ages. Maybe I'll subscribe to paramount, especially if all the content is in the same place and I'm not spending $80 or whatever it is these days for one event.

TKO is still 3 billion in debt, anyone know when that is due?

Note: UFC fans happy, WWE fans unhappy.

TKO debt is not a big deal. Their getting big money next year from UFC and WWE now. Nobody was expecting UFC to get a 7.7 billion deal. Its way more than the predictions said. WWE got a good deal too but their screwing over their fans bad.

This is the best news I've heard in years. No more ESPN or PPV's? Count me in, subscribed. Glorious day my friends.
Right? I'll actually buy paramount. If I can watch the high quality stream for $7-8 per month with an adblocker, then that means you get access to all UFC PPVs for less money than 1 current PPV + 1 month of ESPN+.

This is going to dramatically increase the viewership of the sport IMO.

Will this put the UFC on CBS and what about the champions who get PPV bonus?
By the sounds of it, the numbered events they want to put on national CBS which is smart considering stuff like super bowl, bprimetime NFL games, Olympics, tennis Grand slam finals, world series...ect are all already on free over the air broadcast
