Lol ppl get annoyed by someone giving their opinion. Do you guys have Paramount's stocks? 😂

I'm pumped. I don't mind going to BWW for bigger shows but not having to find a stream for the mid level ppv's will be awesome. I've got a sweet man cave with an 85" TV and now I can have buddies over instead of driving somewhere for a major card.

It's too early to see how this will play out. It won't really effect anyone who sails the high seas but it does matter if you want to go the legal route.

It matters when the those high seas are so damn choppy at times haha. Sometimes they're beautiful and calm. Sometimes it's like The Perfect Storm.

I was told UFC is dying
I was going through some old magazines the other day and found an old Black Belt magazine.
It had an article about the UFC and mentioned the UFC dying.
I got a good laugh out of it because people on Sherdog always joke about the UFC dying.
This paragraph is at the end of a multi page article.

Black Belt Magazine December 1997

"Although the UFC may be dying, the martial arts community will survive as it always has, affected minimally,
if at all, in the grand scheme of things, by the show's exit. The arts will continue to be taught. Karate tournaments will continue to be promoted. Champions will continue to be crowned. It will not
be the end of the martial arts, but just another new beginning".

What does this mean for the big fighters that make most of their dough from PPV share?

That's excellent news for our US peers, who have been saddled with the PPV asshattery for way way too long with other areas getting things as part of general streaming packages or even ad supported or free tv.

I was making a criticism, I like PPV due to the story incentive, nthe build up. I think everyone does.

This is a long shot but trying to be positive. Maybe they can actually expand on Paramount+/CBS. I say that because if I remember correctly CBS' only major play in the sports area in American football. Outside of that all the major sports are usually with FOX/ESPN/NBC. Also, it's not entirely new for CBS to have MMA seeing as how they had Bellator at one time if I remember correctly. Plus, it's time. Paying $60 to $80 for PPV of weak quality was not going to last, and unfortunately the star power is not there like it once was for the UFC.

It will be a monthly subscription to Paramount Plus a UFC subscription,. So basically $40 a month

Paramount + is way less than $40/month. Or they're gonna add a "UFC tier" you mean?

You will get to watch on your 85 inch screen, Tom get knocked out at the white house by Jones, that is if he gets by Gane.

What are you basing this on? This is what the article says:

The new Paramount deal will eliminate the pay-per-view model used by ESPN in its current deal with UFC, making all events available for no extra charge on Paramount+.

You pay I think $12.99 for the stream or you risk what the seas give you. I'm a cheap bastard so it won't matter to me. I just don't know how sports fans who stream multiple sports legally do it in this economy.

LOL at Dana White it´s good or better for the fighters. I know exactly who will get the most of it and that are not the fighters. Thats for sure. This guy is like a cockroach: even a nuclear fallout won´t kill this MF.

We will see how it plays out for customers outside the US. With a normal monthly fee I could be brought back to watch some events live... may be. Hopefully they don´t create shit shows like ESPN.
