News Paramount buys UFC rights. PPV model is dead

Well it sucks because no PPV means less storytelling. We aren't really following a story telling, media content, podcasts, press conferences, one fighter calling the other out. Everyone's personality seems to have been rendered useless, it's like... A fantasy... Without PPV, it also means less incentive for the story between fights, sagas between fighters, rivalries, charisma from fighters. Also, less incentive to live events as well. Events / fights can be recorded and then broadcast later with ambience sound, rather than having a real moment feeling. Fights may even be just announced and streamed, like "fighters x and y are fighting in a week!" then ppl just access the streaming... And it might have been done a while ago so the UFC holds content to release them without a build up. This kinda sucks.
Are you complaining about not having to pay for PPVs because they won't feel special anymore

People can talk all the shit they want but truth be told the first event after the Fertitas took over grossed around $1M...

Rights are now being sold for 77bn. That's fucking impressive.
7 billion not 77

He's complaining because it'll focus on the fights instead of the manufactured bullshit outside of the ring. I doubt he's correct, but what a crazy thing to be upset about. The UFC really nailed the male drama queen demographic.

Bro is upset that he doesn't have to pay $80 anymore

Well.. it has always been like that in here. You pay ESPN and you get all these "PPVs"

I hope they keep ESPN+ as the streaming for us southamericans. If not I will have to pay Paramount and kill my Disney+ suscription. It will take me like 10 minutes to do so.

Probably because this would be the only reason you'd ever subscribe to Paramount.

What? All of the Taylor Sheridan shows are on Paramount and essentially every one of them are great.
Mayor of Kingstown
Tulsa King
Lioness
All the Yellowstone shows and spinoffs
Landman

It's literally the best stuff on TV imo.

I was making a criticism, I like PPV due to the story incentive, nthe build up. I think everyone does.
They can still build the numbered events. I don't put my excitement down to the money I spend. Free PPV level cards is what everyone has wanted for years and you find the negative.

Paramount have exclusive rights to the UFC I have no doubt they'll build the product similar to how Netflix has made shows to promote F1 and the WWE.

Go watch TMZ or WWE if you want drama.. fuck off.

I like it. I subscribe to paramount plus through Amazon Prime and then unsubscribe when I’m over it. Super easy.
