Any word on WPN durability in this? I hope they learned their lesson from DSIII and just scrap the property. Durability in DSII was overdone, IMO, rendering even some classes and otherwise good WPNs ill-used – looking at you, katanas, and anything with an elementally-imbued heavy. ER has been in development long enough to where I wonder what inroads feature creep has made over time on ER core mechanics, baseline play. *returns to racecar bed for daily edging
yeah hopefully they remove that mecanic.
weapon durability is usually annoying, i've never really played a game where i enjoyed it.
Yeah, it proved rather ridiculous in practice however well-intentioned the theory behind it was. I can tell from your UI indicators that you were not bracing knuckles for the encounter but always giving up a finger for as much can be woefully unfun so I get it. Nice power-stancing, of course; UGS 2x doesn't come lightly. /craftsman's hammerer outHere here. I get they want to encourage people into using the different weapons their team spent countless hours on making, but it kills the pace of the game
I can't tell you how much BS I had to deal with to get, and be able to wield, both smelter swords in DS2. The durability is so painfully low, it makes them almost pointless to use. One didn't even make it to the end of this short boss fight, or just barely lol (edit)

I'm pretty sure I had the brass knucks on, but I dont know what to look for in tje hud.Yeah, it proved rather ridiculous in practice however well-intentioned the theory behind it was. Lol, I was so disappointed too. At least we can easily respec, but I was looking forward to doing another NG run with just them and my jedi-like outfitI remember aggressively pursuing a build to duel wield and power stance the smelter swords and thinking “hell yeah. This is going to be great” and then the first time I do the strong L2-R2 attack and seeing like 1/8th of their durability disappear from a single strike
Dark Souls II pisses me off almost as much as Diablo IIII remember aggressively pursuing a build to duel wield and power stance the smelter swords and thinking “hell yeah. This is going to be great” and then the first time I do the strong L2-R2 attack and seeing like 1/8th of their durability disappear from a single strike
I feel naked without itYou look odd without your pink belt Pollito.
New armor reveal. Samurai and fat armor. Nothing that screams fashion souls to me yet

Nice comparison of Anri's garb as the blue is a delicate standout, certainly. I'm getting Logan vibes from fatty's helm piece and Dragonrider set otherwise (DSII). Leftmost is confirmation of a katana WPN class, I imagine – Washing Pole, IMO – as he looks in full Samurai kit whereas before I'd associate this style of fighter with From sets Eastern and Shadow.Looks like an Uchigatana as well. Plus that knight armor looks a bit like Anri's.
Smough twink detected.Fat armor is far superior then anything else i see
I think a related question should be if PC registers all Sony-signature haptic and adaptive-trigger feedback because all of the above has been integral to current-gen immersion, IMO. You can nock arrows and without loosing, both feel and hear the arrowhead and shaft clatter as it rests against the bow on the PS5. I know titles vary but in general, the DualSense is incredible tech when used to the fullest.Question for PC players. Im new to PC gaming and have only played FPS with mouse and keyboard. Planning on getting Elden Ring for PC, but will play with a controller. can I use a PS5 controller or is an Xbox controller recommended? does the game system typically recognize what type of controller Im using and suggest the button commands in relation to that controller in the game's UI?
