Goals & Gains Nu'Keese vs. A Lawyer

Tough week going in. Sliced my right thumb on Wednesday, was sick Thursday and Friday and weighed 218.5 lbs the Sunday before the meet (by far the heaviest I have ever been in my life). My group was 94, 105 and 105+ there were about 15 or so guys give or take. I followed myself for each snatch barely getting 108 and hitting 112 and 115, I got a no lift from one of the judges on the 112 or 115 for a press out (I don't think it should have counted). I was followed by a 105er who opened with 120. He just got that and then missed 125 two times, one of them was very close. All the other lifters completed their clean and jerks and the big guy opened up with 128. [Side note: My coach was away and the back up who was going to count lifts for me bailed on me, luckily one of my teammates was there, sick not competing. He mis read the big guys opener for 138 so I was ice cold by the time it was my turn to lift.] The big guy eeks out 128, then calls for 130 misses the clean. They took their time called for the weight change at 131, he missed that clean too. I called for 138 instead of 140, then 146 and missed 150. Had a total of 261 which got me 1st place so that was cool.

Oceanside Wellness & Sport: This gym was great, anyone within 45 minutes of Egg Harbor, NJ should train there. They have several squat cages, 5 or 6 platforms, a monolift, pleanty of benches and machines, out door turf field with yard lines and an indoor dash track among many other things.
