Name a more exciting fight than Jiri vs Poatan ?

There are no sure things in this sport. We all expected certain fights to be great. But in reality they sucked.

I don’t put heavy expectations on most fights. Then if they suck I’m not disappointed.
 
Ask me 2 years ago who was gonna be the next guy to hold belts in two divisons and I wouldn't have said Poatan in 1000 years.

I'm actually picking Poatan to beat Jiri - this is stylistically his best matchup by far at LHW.
 
Love this fight. Jiri with his crazy Samui style and Poatan who is just an absolute killer and may be the best pure striker in UFC history.
 
I'd prefer izzy vs poatan again but I'll take it

100% Jiri in particular reminds me of the old school guys that got me into mma! I really hope everything with this fight goes through. It will be the most excited I’ve been for a fight in a longggg long time.

Francis vs Lewis, yes, but Izzy vs Romero was never thought of as a guaranteed barnburner. There were plenty of reasons to think it could suck, even if nobody could predict the full extent of the suckage.

Diaz vs Condit on the other hand...everybody from the time remembers the 'DAWG FIGHT!!!' hype.

I used to feel like this about relationships sir lol.
 
Jiri gets hit too much. Style's make fights, and the loose throwing from awkward angles doesn't do well against season elite strikers. All those crazy moves leave huge hole for people who know what to look for.
