Looks like teh fabled Incredulous Cormier thread was closed earlier this year. It's been active every year since it started 10/10/2014.

The original creator & shooping godfather @Chuck popped into the thread & suggested closing it because most or all of the original shoops went missing after some of teh website upgrades.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that if people are still having fun with it 8,800 posts later then "Let Us Bang Bro~"

It's a great time capsule thread that shows the OG shoopehz from shortly after this Shooping scene was created... even if we can't see their art. There are still thousands of active arts there to see.

It's fine to take it off of sticky if that's the issue, but I just don't understand why it has to be locked.

Anyone else feel this way? Can anyone explain to me the reasoning behind locking any shooping thread ever?

Yea, locking a shoop thread doesn't make much sense, barring it's getting derailed. I totally agree with you.

Think traffic is down a bit here, but there isn't too much difference from last year's Paint contest (not a huge difference in total voters numbers).

I think the voting is just a lot closer this year.

I seem to recall some contests where there were 60 or 90 votes for entries, which would be 2-3x more than now. Maybe it was the year before last. I just hope more people participate in these contests, they're by far the greatest thing on Sherdog.

For sure, we used to get way more votes a few years ago; we also used to get a banner, which alerted more people to the thread. I think the traffic here has dropped off a bit in recent years, and a lot of posters moved on.

Hopefully, we can get the numbers back up with the next few contests.

When there is a tie in the podium places, we can do a couple of things. You guys can share third and split the third place prize, or we can have a good old-fashioned SHOOP OFF!!!

It's up to you guys what you would like to do but my vote would be for a good old-fashioned SHOOP OFF!!!

But ultimately, the choice lies with @MT7 @Myrddin Wild

(at least until @Arqueto 's lawyers figure out some airtight contracts that oblige us to shoop on command, as we should)

First of all, I'd like to say congratulations to @Arqueto for winning your first MS paint shoop contest. I know how much it meant to you, and you absolutely deserve this victory. Like I said in the previous thread, I won't be participating next year, but it's an absolute honor to pass the torch to you. To be able to consistently produce the best shoops, gifs, and MS paint shoops, all while running these contests... you are an absolute stud and a true heir to the throne. I'm sure @bigwaverider (RIP!) would be very proud of you. I love your style, and no matter how many shoops are submitted, I could always identify your unique drawings. You should definitely consider drawing cartoons in the future, your unique style absolutely stands out from the rest!

@kuf congratz on second place, bro! You consistently produce some of my favorite shoops, and I'm sure you'll win the #1 spot sooner or later. Even this time, despite not having a lot of time to finish your shoop, you produced a very well drawn, hilarious, and true to life shoop. So simple, yet so perfect. I love it!

@Myrddin Wild , congratz on 3rd place! You did an amazing job in both rounds and I'd like to concede the 3rd place spot (and prize) to you! You absolutely deserve it, and I'm very proud of you. Keep up the great work, and I'm sure you'll be champ in no time!

Well done to everyone that took part. These can take a long time but they bring so many laughs to the forum. It is probably the best of the competitions so big up yourselves for bringing the fun.

Would love to, but I don't have a lot of time these days. Plus, I also think @Myrddin Wild deserves it more. If anything, we can have a friendly shoopoff in the future when I have a bit more time on my hands.

Just want to let everyone know that the ISL contest and the Bigwaverider classic are open shoop contests. Meaning you can do a gif shoop, non gif shoop or a MS Paint. I'd love to see some of you talented gentlemen enter a MS Paint shoop into one of those contests..

As for me, I came here for one purpose and one purpose only, and that was to beat @Jon! . Mission accomplished! It's what Siver would have wanted..
