My first class since I injured my shoulder a couple of weeks ago. Spent most of the lesson practicing Half Guard. How to Sweep, how to retain/recover if the opponent tries to Pass etc.

Rolled three times. Took it very easy because of my shoulder.
 
Got caught with a Foot Lock by a Purple today. He didn't crank it, but a few seconds pressure was enough to leave me with a painful and swollen left foot.

First time I've been caught with a Foot Lock. Fucking nasty. :(
Save the leg locks for competition .... hurting your teammates is a douchebag move.
 
FML, this has not been a good week. :(

Hurt my left foot on Wednesday at BJJ. It's cleared up, but yesterday my lower back started to hurt. It was still painful today, and Friday is Trap Bar Deadlifts...:eek:

I knew as soon as I started warming up that Deadlifts were not going to happen today. So I trained my upper back and arms, and did Hack Squat for legs. I may swap-out SS Bar Squats for Hack Squats, at least for one Block of training. SS Bar Squats are a great exercise, but they can be tough on the lower back.
