We spent the whole class drilling Triangle Choke. I'm not complaining; it's one of the most basic techniques in BJJ, and I'm not confident in using it yet. So it was good to get the reps in. In fact, I actually noticed a significant improvement in my technique over the course of the one hour class.

This lesson was about escapes from Side Control. We practiced two basic techniques. The first was a variation of the Bridge that involved controlling one of the opponent's shoulders to stop him applying pressure while you Bridge out. The second scenario involved the opponent reacting by trying to take your back and choke you. In this version, you pin his arm and turn with him into an armlock.

I managed to get the first technique, at least on the most basic level. The second technique...not so much.
