Carlos Ulberg is -225 over Jan lol. Why? Best win is Volkan. Edwards is an underdog to short notice Brady in a five round fight. Why? Both seem like odds more than worth challenging.

Because Jan is coming off a loss, major surgery, inactivity, and is 42 years old against a surging younger contender. That's a ton of uncertainty for the former champion.

I just watched Jan's ariel helwani interview and he mentioned that he had the worst surgery of his life on both shoulders and was considering retirement, add the fact that he is 42 and it makes sense that Ulberg is favoured over Jan.

Jan is old, wounded and Ulberg drops bombs out the gate💥

Edwards shouldn't be an underdog... and Jan should probably be retired.

I'll give Jan the benefit of the doubt until he shows he can't hang. time is not on his side but his last fight he was competitive with Pereira.

If he wants to get paid and show us if he has still got it I'm cool with it. He may get toasted.

The division is pretty paper thin though.
He could pull a Glover and get another title shot at 42.
(in which he likely gets his ass beat and everyone says see that guys old!!)

Jan is awesome but to many injuries and sadly can't use trt belfort style. Ulberg looks like he is legit. Brady is really good and after the belal fight seems like he might just copy that strategy against leon.

Jan was very competitive with Alex and Ank but is old and coming off injuries

Frankly, I'll be shocked if Jan wins or looks good. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for him, but he's several years over-the-hill to be taking on surging up-and-comers.

Stylistically Edwards in his in for a tough fight. His takedown defense isn't amazing & he's in the silk-sheets stage of his career. Also he's not a high-output guy that's going to make Brady gas by running a 5-mile sprint. It's a great fight for Brady.

Jan is 40-fcking-3.

We've seen combat athletes come back from worse and go on to have their cinderella story, Jan might still have some left in the tank and some time off could see him come back strong and focused for one more run. Ulberg ain't no joke but Jan is a tough fight for anyone. This fight will tell if Jan should hang it up or if he's got one more run in him.

both dogs are being put to sleep

I like both dog picks here but I think the logic is that prospects are gonna break through at some point and it looks very possible in both cases. We’ll need a heroic performance out of Brady to get this win in that one tho.

Leon isn’t the most scintillating fighter , but Yawn Brady is as blah as they come

Aside from beating Usman, who else has Leon the Peon beat? A bunch of lightweights and journeymen.

Jan being the underdog isn't new especially after that surgery. It would be news if he was the favorite.

Jan was the underdog against

Ankalaev
Rakic
Izzy
Reyes
Corey
Luke
Santos
Krylov
Jimi
Clark (WTF lol)
Cannonier
Gus
Latifi

He was pickem in betting against Alex who made his LHW debut after getting sparked cold months back, MW Jacare and Patrick Cummins lol. Jan is never the favorite. Only was against Glover when he just rekt uncrowned champ Reyes and won the belt and before that you have to go all the way back to Igor Projakic in 2016.

Jan is Stipe old.

Leon shouldn't be the dog but his last performance was bad.
