A people seriously calling Cain a point fighter?
It finally happened.. We have been close many times, but now it is official. Sherdog has gone full retard.
He has 1 fucking decision.. And that 1 decision was definitely not point fighting..

TS:
Cain has to do way more than just survive the 1st round. Which is not an easy thing to do by itself.

Shane Carwin had a better chance of choking himself out than winning this fight.

Junior Dos Santos is on fire in the first round like always and the round ends in JDS buckling Carwin with a shot and pounding his face to a bloody pulp. Carwin survives and in the second round JDS isnt even close to as crisp and fast as in the first round. His puncher are slow in his overhand right attempts look awkward. Carwin gets a nice hook straight to Juniors chin and takes it like a man. Carwin gets him down a few times but JDS has amazing takedown defense and if he goes to the ground he explodes immediately up. The third round theres no surprises except the endind, JDS takes Carwin down but carwin sinks a nice looking kinda anaconda choke and it seems tight. JDS seemed like he didnt know what to do and the round ends.

So the Velasques - JDS rematch. Cain needs to survive the first round and as the fight goes to later rounds i thin Cain has the better chance to win. He just needs to grind him and tire him. Some takedowns and grinding against the fence.
My first prediction was JDS Tko/Ko on the second round but as i rewatched this and the mir fight on mind i think Cain can win this IF he survives the first round.

Cain has better wrestling then Carwin and has much better standup

Wrong on the choke from side control. JDS wasn't worried and knew Carwin couldn't finish it (seen the Gracie breakdown Carwin isn't that technical a grappler to finish it) so rode it out to the bell.
You make it sound like Carwin was doing well when in reality the fight was a one-sided beatdown.

I was gonna comment on that too...lol people do their best to make a point even smearing reality.

War Cain btw!All I want for christmas is to hear 3 words...and the new :)

That's a lot easier said than done.

If Junior gets Cain in a similar spot like he did Carwin the fight will end.
Why? Is Carwin tougher than Cain? People forget that Cain got hit 2 times behind the ear and he recover in a second. Cain is tougher than Mir, Nelson and Carwin. Forget mmath.

JDS destroyed him, but Carwin showed mad heart in that fight.

I hope he comes back at 280 lbs. Being 250 lbs was no good for him. He's not going to have great cardio either way, he just needs to pace himself a bit.

Carwin vs Lavar Johson or Hunt.

Welcome to Sherdog my friend

to finish TS sentence.

and damn JDS beat that ass!

I don't think dos Santos' TDD can be accurately measured by looking at his performance against Carwin. Although Carwin does have wrestling background, he hasn't really showed his TD ability, as most of his finishes were in the first round via KO/TKO. In regards to Cigano's gas tank, though as not as good as Cain's, he has shown he can go to the distance in his fights against Nelson and Cro Cop.

I do agree Velasquez's chance of winning this fight gets higher as they go up in rounds, but if JDS has no problem defending Cain's wrestling, I don't see how he can lose. An interesting aspect would be if dos Santos takes Cain down, then I see it as more of ground and pound for the champ, as opposed to Velasquez working on series of submission attempts.

I can't wait for the 29th.

He blanketed Bigfoot in blood, boring rassler.

In all fairness, Cain cut Bigfoot early and deep. But even with all the flurry of strikes from his guard, even completely blinded by his own blood, Cain was never actually able to hurt Silva (in the sense that his brain was scrambled/rocked).

Except for the actual finish.
