I'm reminded of my reaction to a scene in Braveheart. The King of England ordered all brides in Scotland to sleep with the local English Army Commander on her wedding night, rather than her husband.
I thought 'What a shocking barbarity.'
Thankfully that was completely fictional, and I was completely ignorant of Islam.
In the mid-2000s I read about the cultural practices regarding women, child brides, and sex slaves... and I honestly couldn't wrap my head around it.
Thanks to the internet, and video of these leaders within Islamic circles proudly proclaiming the truth... Its impossible to ignore.
