Law Judge Hannah Dugan arrested by FBI for allegedly helping undocumented immigrant 'evade arrest'

We have a 4-3 majority. I don’t know what the vote was on this, but WI Supreme Court has done this before when a judge was accused of wrongdoing. They temporarily suspend the judge until the matter is resolved.
BTW I wasn't trying to be a dick by tagging you.

Just curious if any lefties view her actions differently since some news outlets have published reports about the note on her courtroom door?

www.foxnews.com/politics/photo-shows-milwaukee-judges-courtroom-door-notice-anyone-who-feels-unsafe.amp

Kind of negates the narrative the left were going for.

Btw, the only news sites I'm seeing this on is FOX otherwise I would have posted another link.

No. People appearing remotely is normal so long as they have a valid reason.

And since there is no way a note on the door could amount to obstruction, I'd imagine this is just a desperate attempt to justify the arrest.

oh no, what a scandal.

the note
The notice states: "ATTENTION - IF ANY ATTORNEY, WITNESS COORDINATOR, OR OTHER COURT OFFICIAL KNOWS OR BELIEVES THAT A PERSON FEELS UNSAFE COMING TO THE COURTHOUSE TO COURTROOM 615, PLEASE NOTIFY THE BRANCH 31 CLERK TO REQUEST COURT APPEARANCE VIA ZOOM."

That's the thing about court proceedings, "we both know" isn't good enough for a conviction, even if I did agree with you. That's one of the major points of due process.

Think about what you're arguing for here... that letting somebody use a different door is a crime.

This is the exact sort of legal uncertainty that gun rights advocates point out all the time... if you put that particular upper on the wrong receiver and you've created yourself a SBR or a readily-convertible "machine gun" without ever having any intent to break the law. This case is even more trivial.

She knew they were outside waiting for him and she took him out the side door to subvert their efforts. I would say that is obstructing their attempts to take him into custody

I was referring more to her hostility toward the ICE officers.

She's clearly had that note on her door for a while so that illegals could avoid similar situations.

Clearly so that illegals can avoid ICE.

What is illegal about that?

Not illegal, but clearly shows that she has resentment toward immigration. The left tried to spin that she was just nonchalantly indifferent to ICE being there.

She clearly had animosity toward them and skipped the whole case to get the violent illegal safely out of harm.

Not just a side door, but a side door to a non-public room.

So, nothing illegal. Got it.

I had asked if it changed any of the left's minds since the media; and lefties here, were painting it as indifference to the agents and simply not assisting the arrest.

No, there is nothing illegal about the note. The illegal part was escorting him to a private exit and hindering the execution of a lawful warrant.

Escorted? He walked out in front of agents. No laws were broken. This case is a joke, and it will get tossed. This is nothing more than the administration strong-arming the judicial branch, and it should give anyone pause.

She came from the bench and escorted him and his lawyer into the jury room. So yes escorted.

Virtually every court I know of has this option.

So no, I don't think it was an evil ICE-hating note. And even if it was, a taped piece of paper is utterly irrelevant to the charges against her. She could have taped a poster-sized message reading "ICE can suck my fucking dick," and zero laws would have been broken.

But I guess if we're celebrating the 4th Amendment being violated, might as well cheer for wiping our ass with the 1st Amendment as well.
