Media Jon says it's Alex or nothing

Jones Fought Gane early 2023 in March then they negotiated the Stipe Fight this was already being talked about back then.'

I can't say this enough you bozo - Stipe was retired and coming off a KO loss in 2023. Why in the world would someone who just got murder KO'd and sat out for 2 years be up for a title shot?

This is common sense.

Fight, Aspinal had only had 6 fights in the UFC and the last fight he had was against Blaydes which he lost back then. Then Aspinal was out for a year.

"Only 6 fights" yes you mean he went 5-0 with 5 stoppages, 4 of them in the first round? He then injured his knee against Blaydes.

He would fight Tybura 4 months after Jon fought Gane. FOUR MONTHS.

The fact that Jon took another year off and still wasn't forced to fight the clear #1 contender is absurd, even by UFC standards.

Stipe was smart he waiting for the Jones fight because it’s the money fight and now
he can retire into the sunset with his big payday.

Yes and water is wet bozo. Everyone understands digging up the bones of Stipe to get beatup after 4 years off was for a payday.

You are the only dumbo saying it made sense for the sport or the division.

This is a business in case you’re wondering. It’s all about the money.

Which is why Dana has verbatim said Jon will fight Tom Aspinall or vacate the belt. Its bad press and bad for business to stretch the circus beyond its footing.

He needs to fight Jones 100% if he gets the opportunity. The potential of being the first triple weight champ / being the first to KO Jones alone is worth the risk. Alex has already been finished twice before in MMA. Wether it's two or three times doesn't matter much for his record as it would for Jones to lose. Getting choked out at HW also doesn't hurt him that much at LHW and I doubt Jones finishes him by KO.
no , I def. don't think so.
this is not even a risk. it is obvious that he will lose to Jones in an embarrassing way.
I am just saying that he should pay at least for it.

Lol if there's anyone with a chance of catching Jones it's him. He's already been submitted and KOd so what's so embarrassing about losing to an arguable GOAT by takedown / submission? It's not that bad.

It doesn't matter who he fights, he should always try to get paid as much as he can.

Took much risk of Aspinall landing a KO punch.

You forgot to mention that before Stipe lost to Ngannou Stipe had the belt and was the Heavyweight Champion. The UFC had no issue booking the fight back then.
You can winge all you like you Clown.

Atleast Stipe has been the champion is a big name he also had two wins against Cormier before the Ngannou fight which is better than anything Aspinal has done to date.

Stipe had lost only 2 of his last 8 fights prior to this. His last loss was against in form Ngannou who Stipe beat prior to fighting Cormier.

I’ll say it again when the fight was booked for Stipe and Jones Aspinal had not done much and was not even in Title contention. He had only had 4 fights in 2 and a half years.

Beating Tybura doesn’t get you a Tilte shot. Yes there’s not a huge talent pool in
the heavyweight division but Tom hasn’t really beaten anyone.

Im sensing you just hate Jomes and will say anything to discredit him. Get over it you sound like a hater.

Let it go what will be will be. You don’t call
The shots it’s business and money talks.

Everyone saying they don't care is full of shit.

Aspinal vs Jones is THE fight to make right now. Dana knows it, Jon knows it, the fans know it. Which is why Jonny boy is only going to do it if he gets that cheddar.

He’s picking fights like Jake Paul.

Not much difference in Paul Vs Tyson than Jones Vs Stipe. Two younger guys roided out the ass bringing retired guys out off of long layoffs to prop their name.

“Hey Jon we all want to see the Tom fight”

“Nah I’d rather go back down in weight and fight the guy with no wrestling that has like 3 years of MMA training”

I think everyone is better off if Jones retires and the divisions can move on.

Stipe last won a fight nearly half a decade ago. He has no wins over - literally anyone - on the UFC roster.

Its like having BJ Penn fight for the lightweight belt. I honestly cannot believe I'm typing this out.

Jones will defend against Aspinall or vacate. The UFC knows Jon only has 1 fight left and they won't extend him anymore extradinary favors like digging up the bones of Stipe, who promptly retired again.

That is OK with me, Jon will retire and the world will keep spinning.

Hey Clown

You’re still rambling on about garbage.

Your comparison to BJ Penn is rubbish.

Stipe was coming off 1 loss when he fought Jones it’s not the same. Stipe was the best UFC heavyweight of all time he wasmt retired when he fought Jones.

When you understand the UFC is a business and fighters want to male money then you can talk.

Jones fought Gane who was very close to
beating Nganou and it went the distance.

Jones beat Gane in less than a round. Everybody knows the Stipe Fight was the big money fight.

Jones’s has now said he may continue but only if it suits him.

Jones has nothing left to prove. Everyone knew last year that the Stipe fight was most likely his last fight.

I would love to see Jomes fight Aspinal because Jones he would beat him.

Aspinal hasn’t fought anyone as good as Jones.

If jones takes this fight...... IF ... he's getting finished.

He has a fake hw belt. The true champs are aspinall and Nganou

as it should be. epic fight that makes sense. just like the stipe fight. lets see it happen. jones vs alex at hw.

tom is an interim champ with no title defense run and we are talking about who the goat will fight next. people need to recognize what they are actually saying when they suggest tom. sure tom could beat jon. I'm sure a lot of young up and coming hws have a chance to ko jon. see? tom vs jon to me is more of a tyson paul sceanrio. young up and comer getting a fight he has not earned so they can continue to dump money into marketing him as their next star.

jon vs stipe made sense because stipe was condiered the hw goat of the ufc and had not retired yet and has aged well.
he beat the hw goat.

why fight an iterim champ with no defenses or some other contender. vacate and fight alex is the only fight that makes sense to me. similar age and size. alex has better accolades than most. hes the lhw champ- the division jon is the goat of . big fight. its not a case of jon going oh well stipe is old i can win this ill do this. and its not a case of jon going well alex has more weak points in his game ill go in that direction. its about their accolades and accomplishments and jon adding that to his resume before he is done. time is very limited when you are 37 and at the top of the game. hes earned his right to choose a path and unlike most who would choose an easy one hes going after gold as always.

you cant argue they are just cherry picks. people want to see jon lose. he represents something to them they dont want to see succeed but he keeps winning. he should have control on his way out the door .

gsp was forced to retire to not be chewed up and spit out by the ufc marketing machine. he came back picked a big legacy fight . won that fight and dipped out before the ufc can turn him into cannon fodder. thats goat shit. thats what we want to see. guys reaching such status and then winning in the end not becoming some stepping stone for the next guy the ufc decides to market. Tom can rach this status one day but he needs to go on a title defense run and then he can start calling for super fights and big fights. thats how it goes.
Sound logical until you referred to stipe as the " Heavyweight goat"

This is a negotiation tactic. He is squeezing the UFC for more money.
