Media Jon says it's Alex or nothing

Because he's lame, if any other fighter was ducking this bad they would have been stripped already. Interim champ waiting, and Jones won't do it.

Baby back biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch

Have we ever seen a takedown in a BMF match?

Maybe the Ass in BAMF is to put someone on their ass and submit them.

So it's nothing strip him. Let's get past this crap
I think UFC will tell Jon he has max 9 to 12months to fight Aspinall OR retire.

I think they'll force his hand by saying they'll strip him of the belt if he doesn't fight OR retire.

I predict he will announce his retirement sometime in 2nd half of 2025 without fighting again.

I think UFC have told tom that info....

Jones got injured and didn’t fight Stipe when it was first scheduled which was close to a year ago. The point is when Jones amd Stipe originally signed the fight for the big $$$$ Tom was a contender and wasn’t in the equation.

No. One year ago, Stipe hadn't won a fight in over 3 years and was coming off a brutal, non-competitive KO loss.

He should 100% be un-ranked for inactivity and the very idea that you can retire for YEARS after getting knocked out, then fight for a title, is absurd. Its literally stealing money from the guys fighting and winning, as their contracts all have huge increases based on the title.

The fact that time passed was because they didn’t fight when they were meant to fight because of the injury. The fight with Stipe was money in the bank.

When they were originally talking about the Jones and Stioe fight that was around the beginning of 2023 when he fought Gane.

There is no way in hell anyone especially Jones would walk away from the money that he was getting to fight Stipe.

I honestly don't know if you're stupid or just playing stupid on the internet. This is common sense and requires no further comment.

Jones will fight Tom or vacate

How is dropping the belt when you’re tired of having to be obligated to fight dudes with UFC Fight Night level resumes when you are the hottest ticket on the roster ducking? He wants to call his own shots and gave fun fights. He earned that

Then "nothing" it should be. Just fight Aspinall already, you ducking wuss.

Funny thing is that if he vacates the HW title to go back down to LHW, is there any guarantee he will get the Pereria fight? There are plenty of contenders in that division, would Jones be vacating a championship just to be jumping into the contender pool for a shot at Pereira?

Or wouldn't this be fresh: Jones vacates the title, Aspinall gets crowns the undisputed champion...and they make an Aspinall/Pereria fight? #justsaying

He should get out while the going is good , does he really need the money ? , he is the type of person who would never get over a loss , especially at this point of his career

This is Dana's fault. After all this time nobody should be surprised that Jon takes a pretty low road. I'm going to laugh so hard if Jon pops in the next week or two. Since USADA is out he most likely won't but still

Has anyone ducked this hard since Tito Ortiz? I guess Germain de Randamie but still, shocking. Well, Glover's stock went through the roof when Shogun refused to fight him for not being a big enough name so Aspinall will probably benefit tremendously from this.

This is actually way worse than Tito.

Tito was bad but not compared to this.

Guys, Jon would murder Alex, that's why he wants to fight him. He knows he can beat a limited fighter like him, who he also has a size advantage and reach over.

He has no intentions of going back to LHW.

They'd cover it up if he popped for PEDs..... Or..... They'd weaponize it and say "agree to fight Aspinall next or else we release this recent PED test failure and you'll have to deal with that.....

Jones will fight Tom or vacate

Jones Fought Gane early 2023 in March then they negotiated the Stipe Fight this was already being talked about back then.

When Jones was negotiating the Stipe
Fight, Aspinal had only had 6 fights in the UFC and the last fight he had was against Blaydes which he lost back then. Then Aspinal was out for a year.

In this time Jones was supposed to fight Stipe but got injured and then the fight was rescheduled.

Aspinal had 3 fights in this time and if you think Jones was going to cancel his fight with Stipe which was already signed where he was getting his biggest pay day to date to go and fight someone in the top ten where he would have made significantly less money, then you are as stupid as your sounding.

Stipe was smart he waiting for the Jones fight because it’s the money fight and now
he can retire into the sunset with his big payday.

This is a business in case you’re wondering. It’s all about the money.

Alex needs to make a smart decision here. if the money is not good enough he shoıuld def. not face Jon

He needs to fight Jones 100% if he gets the opportunity. The potential of being the first triple weight champ / being the first to KO Jones alone is worth the risk. Alex has already been finished twice before in MMA. Wether it's two or three times doesn't matter much for his record as it would for Jones to lose. Getting choked out at HW also doesn't hurt him that much at LHW and I doubt Jones finishes him by KO.
