Media Jon Jones wrestles Gable Steveson

BJJ specialists always run into the same hurdles once they get to the UFC level in MMA
remember that geek ryan hall? Same thing.

That's awful. I don't know why they keep making ugly women characters. Think they are trying to get all the ugly women to start gaming to grow their customer base, but don't know how men are going to be lining up for it. Hopefully still can create a character and avoid playing as this abomination.

Wrestling clip was cool.

The pad work was barely serviceable, not like super smooth padwork really matters all that much honestly.
I agree it doesn’t, but if you can’t look good shadowboxing and on the pads, you won’t look good anywhere.

He still beats most of the HW division

All hype and no substance. Gable is going to get wrecked when he faces legit competition, but if he does somehow win, then maybe he is the real deal. People need to chill the fuck out with calling him a future GOAtT already, though.
why do people always say this dumb shit whenever a super talented / possible contender emerges?

Like why go out of your way to say he aint shit, gonna get wrecked when he fights anyone good.

can you not just acknowledge someone talented that has potential without having to shit on them?

The head movement is a little lackluster. Otherwise he seems like a DC 2.0 in the making

He's gonna be a handful as is, don't fuck him up by making him believe he's got lethal hands like what happened to Ronda and Belal.

He’s a rare case where he looked better in a fight

Are you sure there are 1’500 pro HW’s in the world?
Depends on how you define things. Fightmatrix has 400-something ranked HWs, but the heavy majority of fighters who take a HW fight aren't even good enough to make those rankings, including both of Gable's previous opponents who between them have one HW win against an 0-4 fighter and a couple of MW wins. There are almost certainly well over 1,500 people who fought a professional HW MMA fight in the past two years, but if you exclude all the fighters who haven't had a HW win there may not be.

I can't wait to see how he performs in the UFC. It's either he's as good as he is on paper or he's a bust.
