Movies Tourette's Guy At Award Show...

It's a well known and accepted thing in the UK. I guess Americans aren't as well educated on it judging from the reactions?
I am not American, I am Russian, and I have seen exactly 1 Russian person with Tourrete's in my life, and even that was on social media, it was a young zoomer girl.
This syndrome seems to be cured quite well with "you said what, bitch?" and a good hearty beating.
No disrespect to people with actual problems, but at least to a non-specialist eye this whole syndrome seems like a very cozy way of saying profanities and not facing consequences.

Apparently they are sometimes compelled to say emotionally laden words, its like a release of a pressure cooker valve, apparently. I don't really buy it (in all cases) but I could be totally ignorant on the matter.
When this guy's at airport security he says stuff like "I've got a bomb!".

Do you buy this guys case?

Yeah, I know most tourettes people just have some benign tics, like clicking their tongue or clapping their hands n' shit. It's just such a weird and specific tic to be constantly saying the most offensive shit, that it's amusing. It's such a wacky condition, and it's telling that the entertainment industry only focuses on those types. Notice how they don't invite the less entertaining ones to their shindigs to give out awards, or be honored guests. Almost like they're exploiting them or something...

I'd wager most people think of tourettes as what it's been presented as in Hollywood.
Well this guy was invited because his film was nominated for awards so he did have a reason to be there

This dude has been beaten multiple times and still has the condition so it sounds like you're full of shit

THe condition keeps him relevant and provides for his life in a way. I am not saying he is faking it, I simply don't know enough about him and the desease itself, all I am saying that there are much much less cases of tourrete's in a society that does not enable and promote weird or rude behaviour.

There were much less cases of people being left handed when they used to beat the shit out of them for it too. Must mean they were right to do so

Being left handed is not a public offense and is not harmful to anyone. Unless you get KO'd by a southpaw, I guess ;)
