it's the talk of the MMA world because nothing else is going on and Jon has been holding an entire division hostage for years. it's not the talk of the town in the way Khabib vs Ferguson was, where the hype was around seeing the fight happen and not around 1 guy being the biggest diva in MMA history.

there is no promotion of Tom by the UFC, Jon constantly slags him off like he's a nobody, and Jones himself is clearly passed his prime. not many people actually want to see this fight, they just want Jon Jones to fuck off.

oh, i'm sure a lot of people will watch it, but i doubt that will turn into record ppv sales or something. the casuals like O'Malley too, but he's not a real ppv draw because the casuals are kids who don't have money to buy ppvs and are already accustomed to stealing everything online.
