Crime John Bolton indicted on 18 counts.

You have to look back at the news at that time. I'm not speaking about some secret info. If you want to say it was coincidence that he got a bump following all of the announcements okay but most people attribut it to that

Most people just make shit up that makes them feel good about their beliefs. Doesn't mean anything.

You make it sound like it was all announced on the same day, but the cases and their investigations and announcements were all separated by months and years.

It was March-August of 2023. Then states started trying to dequalify him etc.... just come on bruh...

It's all easily verifiable. His fundraising and poll numbers went up after the indictments. RP is just a troll.
I've had some good back and forth with him but yeah... easily verifiable.

So they decide to wait to prosecute trump a couple of months before the election year?

Blame Garland, who did as little as possible for as long as possible. If Jack Smith had been given the go right away this would have been far more definitive, far earlier. Unlike what's going on now, Biden's Justice Department was independent.

Garland caught a lot of heat from conservatives because he was nominated by Biden, but you know how I know he was fair? EVERYONE hated him. I'm pretty confident he would have made a good Supreme Court Justice.

Again, its why people saw it the way they did and it backfired. Again, im not a fan even if Bolton is guilty. Most of these people have dirt. Its just whether you look close enough to find it. My opinion is there would be few left.

If Bolton is guilty, let him rot in jail, I don't care why a guilty person is indicted. If he's acquitted, however, I hope he successfully sues this admin for tens of millions.

Bolton is an opportunist just like Trump's ex-fixer, Cohen. They probably made millions commenting on CNN, and I don't trust either of them as far as I could comfortably spit a rat.

How I feel about this prosecution: Handling sensitive documents has always been a hot mess and everyone in government has always gotten away with it. That should change, even for the President. Remember, he is supposed to serve the country, the country doesn't serve HIM.

I have no idea how this could work but it must be possible.

In addition to being a personal petty revenge thing at its heart, this is also part of the messaging operation from the Trump administration to send a message to others…likely mostly to give people pause when he goes for a third term.

I get your point but where does it end?

When both Obama and Biden are attempting to argue that they have presidential immunity for conspiring and weaponizing lawfare against Trump.

that is somewhat joking, but it can go on as long as it goes, IMO. The voting machine company smartmatic was just indicted for bribing politicians and rigging elections in another country. Yet the same week, a judge ruled, without any trial, that Mike Lindell is guilty of slandering that company, just pending determining how many millions Lindell will have to pay. That is not justice, it is weaponizing the courts. Just like Rudy couldn’t argue a defense and had to pay 80 million dollars to two election workers who are on tape breaking the rules. Alex jones having to pay over a billion dollars, which is all just to bankrupt him so he loses he platform.

Just look at the judges who oversaw Trump’s cases in NYC. Obvious conflicts of interests, refused to recuse, gagged Trump for calling out the conflicts of interest. I think they should lost judicial immunity and be targeted themselves.

These rot is deep that if it were a diabetic wound to the foot, the entire foot has got to go, otherwise it will never heal.

As long as Trump delegates it to others and stays focus on bigger issues, which he has been, I am totally Ok with it. He is doing huge things every day, nonstop, completely transparent about everything he is doing.

Like what did Biden DOJ and FBI even do other than go after Trump, 1/6ers, and get caught going after concerned parents school boards, people protesting outside abortion clinics.

And now they have to nerve to make a big show and cry about how they are just career, apolitical fbi agents and DOJ prosecutors, blah blah. give me a break. Drag them all through the mud and be as transparent as possible

lol, sorry for the rant

Piers Morgan said in the lead to the 2024 election that if Trump wins, you will have Alvinn Bragg to thank for that. They forget how low Trump was polling after the 2022 midterms and the popular sentiment was to move on to someone else. But then they overplayed their hand when they really tried to bury him six ways from Sunday. It backfired when Americans clearly saw what was happening.
<WellThere>

I try to point this out as a NeverTrumper and people immediately accuse me of being a secret fascist MAGA radical Neo-Nazi.

But that is exactly what sticks in my craw about this, and why I brought up to @Mr Holmes why this particular indictment of Bolton irks me. It's pure political retribution from Trump. It's hypocrisy.

Because the American people knew Trump could be convicted on mishandling of classified materials, but they popped their heads up, looked around, you know, surveyed the landscape, and noticed, "Hey, all these careerist tards are doing this. Hillary, Biden, all the way back to...

Every administration since the '80s has mishandled classified documents, says the National Archives

And the American people, quite sensibly, said, "Hey, that's stupid." The saw it for what it was. Clearly this is one offense where this group of people lives by a different set of rules than a typical grunt on a military base who will get 10+ years. But due to TDS the left tried to weaponize this to shriek about Trump being Hitler 2.0. This transparent hyperpartisanship incensed the American right, and so Trump's popularity ballooned again.

I realize a lot of people despise Bolton because of his hawkish history, but that doesn't justify this. Trump is weaponizing his DoJ to go after enemies. It's pure spite. Comey, Bolton, and others. It's lending credence to the cries of fascism among the chicken littles, and it's only going to blow up in his face.

This shit needs to stop.

That doesn't even make sense since the crimes over the 2020 election happened in 2021. The investigation started in 2022.

Not to mention, March to August is a 5 month period.

Trump's handling and attempted coverup of SCIF materials is unprecedented.

Various classifications have indeed been mishandled by previous administrations, lawmakers, etc

But none of them were mishandling SCIF materials and none of them were deliberately obstructing NARA from recovering them for over a year.

LOL, right on cue.

Im not going back to debate the whole 2020 but 2021 was early Jan (soon after election) and most data was out there pretty soon. Any credible evidence should have been quickly prosecutable. So investigation started in 2022 from states... who knows.. Yes.. March to August is 5 months. The indictments took place then. Followed by states declaring him ineligible etc. Not to mention the the russia collusion stuff that happened in the previous election etc... it was constant in attempts imo. All of this is a reason he won.

You live in a fantasy land where you think this type of thing can just be done quickly.

Trump obstructed the investigation into the Russian collusion stuff as well.

Knowing now that he was guilty of all those things, are you suggesting that they simply not prosecute him?

Because the American electorate simply does not care?

Does that depress the hell out of you?

It's not like it wasn't talked about back then. Some people just live in denial.

I dont know he was guilty. I know all these things came out in an instant and noone liked the optics. Noone liked the optics of Russia collusion hoax either.
