So called "Karatekas" are really good at getting ko'ed by sloppy punches. Thompson's too finesse and that leaves his opponents time to hang around and land haymakers. It was the same against Woodley. Leave Karate to the kids. It is a horrible style for striking defense.

I saw that as a Masvidal flying knee. Crafty af and perfectly timed, but an anomaly. That's a fight that version of WB wins 8-9/10 times. Buckley on the other hand was charging in throwing hooks and I'm not convinced he couldn't do it again. That wouldn't have worked in years past.
