How do ya think Epstein died?

Maybe if he claimed it was an attack or just wouldn't talk and thought it might be, it was then reasonable to take him off suicide watch.

I'm asking if we have any evidence he attempted suicide the first time. This seems important because some are using this (a supposed prior suicide attempt) as evidence that he killed himself (sort of like you did in the post I responded to). I've yet to see any actual evidence of this supposed "trial run," have you?

That's just it, this is sort of a different goal for the prison. In general they probably do an ok job but it doesn't really matter if someone manages to off themselves typically. Who knows, maybe his lawyer was pushing for him to get off suicide watch and had legal grounds, so they had to come up with this weird arrangement of checking on him 48 times a day since they knew there was a risk. Then between incompetence and it not being the normal procedure he managed to off himself which is not hard.

This is the standard in the majority local, state and federal jail/prison regulations. 2 tours per hour.

This is another falsehood I see a lot in this thread... it is NOT easy to kill yourself and the vast majority of attempts are unsuccessful (and that is in the community where access to means and time is much more plentiful).

Does anyone know why this idiot was even still in the country to allow himself to be arrested? You would think a billionaire like this would be able to buy political asylum somewhere (many cases of rich people doing this) and not have to worry about being arrested. I guess this big ego'd scumbag literally thought he was untouchable. If I had that much money and there were was any chance of me going to jail in my home country I wouldn't be hanging around

Source please? Seems like it would be hard to fail at shooting your own brains out.

I think he thought he was free and clear after the immunity deal.

What would make him think even if someone did come after him again, that it wouldn't have ended the same way, with a 13 month sentence at a work release hotel.

EXCLUSIVE: Ghislaine Maxwell's respectable new life: Jeffrey Epstein's long-time consort and the alleged procurer of his underage victims has been living with 43-year-old tech CEO at his secluded $3M oceanfront mansion outside of Boston

  • Ghislaine Maxwell, 57, has been hiding out at a secluded $3M oceanfront property in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal
  • The property is owned by her tech CEO boyfriend Scott Borgerson, 43, who has been seen running errands in the area and walking Maxwell's dog
  • The British socialite was a long-time consort of Jeffrey Epstein and the alleged procurer of victims in his underage sex trafficking ring
  • Maxwell hasn't been seen publicly in three years and hasn't left the home amid new focus on Epstein's alleged co-conspirators following his apparent suicide on Saturday
  • 'She's become a real homebody, rarely ventures out. She's the antithesis of the woman who traveled extensively and partied constantly with Epstein,' a source familiar with Maxwell's new life exclusively told DailyMail.com
  • Maxwell is alleged to be one of the main players in a network of recruiters and enablers who provided Epstein with underage girls to sexually abuse
  • In July, Maxwell filed a request to stop the unsealing of 2,000 pages connected to a defamation lawsuit filed against her by Virginia Giuffre, who has accused Epstein of keeping her as a sex slave when she was a teenager
  • Giuffre claimed Maxwell directed her to have sex with people including former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, former U.S. Senator George Mitchell, modeling agent Jean Luc Brunel and financier Glenn Dubin
  • Maxwell called the claims 'entirely false' and the case was settled out of court
Ghislaine Maxwell, long-time consort of Jeffrey Epstein and the alleged procurer of victims in his underage sex trafficking ring, has been laying low in a New England beach town, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Maxwell, 57, is in a relationship with Scott Borgerson, 43, and has been living with him at his secluded oceanfront property at the end of a long private road in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.

I have to say I'm shocked that Lady Ghislaine is living in the same state as me. Figured she'd be in Israel or England or dead.

"According to the 2008 National Survey on Drug Use and Health3, in the US there were 8.3m adults who had serious thoughts of committing suicide, and 2.3m who had actually made plans to commit to suicide. Of those, 1.1m actually attempted suicide, but only just over 33,000 succeeded. Which would make the ratio of failure to success 33 to 1." http://lostallhope.com/suicide-statistic

*sigh*

Against my better judgement, I'm gonna reply to you in good faith.

He already got charged with these crimes, and basically walked. It's likely that they blindsided him, and he was going about his day without a care in the world, when they came a knockin'.

Are you really comparing suicide rates of the average civilian, to jail/prison?

Those are pretty astounding statistics. I wonder if the source could be off. It just seems to me like I've only ever heard of a couple cases of people failing to kill themselves, meanwhile I have multiple friends who did manage to do it without a hitch. Strange

I think you missed his point. He was saying most suicide attempts are failed out in the free community, which shows just how hard it is to do in jail. If you fail when you have resources available how much harder would it be to do so somewhere made to prevent you from killing yourself? His point was pertinent

Are you saying he wasnt found semi consciousness with marks on his neck or that he was attacked? All of us are talking possibilities and Waris parsimonious given the media reported facts. Let's put it this was- if he was clearly attacked and clearly didn't try to do it to himself, why would he be put on suicide watch? I'd say the most plausible explaination is that the facility found it at least somewhat likely that he tried to kill himself. My explaination for how someone manages to kill themself despite half hourly checks doesn't really require it to be the case though.

Most people "fail" because they really don't want to commit suicide. it's their cry for help. What do you mean resources available. Inmates need a sheet... all they have is time. Jail/Prison isnt nade made to prevent you from killing yourself. We do whats in the law to not he held liable.
In a housing area, let's say 50 maximum security, highly violent/assaultive inmates and 1 officer. If soneone says im gonna lock in for a half hour. During that half hour i still gave to deal with 49 other monsters. Now, i do 2 tours per hour to check on him...that's more than sufficient time to kill yourself.

To add to my previous post, even if its midnight. 2 tours per hour. more than enough time.

Too bad this guy was banned on youtube thanks to the ADL

Embedded media from this media site is no longer available

But what he is saying was posted here but less PC and more in detail

As crazy as he looks I watched his videos back when the Syrian war conflict started and he has been 100% spot on about everything
I've always wondered why people whining about Youtube don't just use LiveLeak? They're far less restrictive about content and you can spew all the libel you want there.

Yeah because only 5% of people really want to do the job. The success rate is 4:1 in the elderly. A lot of the misses are medication ODs which are only successful 1/42 attempts on average when the overall rate is 1/25 which tells you the gunshot and suffocation methods are much more successful, they make up a much larger proportion of successes. Regardless if he wanted to kill himself in 30 min with bedsheets, he could have. If you really wanted to, you don't think you could pull it off?
