JDM deserves the title shot more than shavkat

Okay so first off by my logic no that doesn’t make sense, because my logic is JDM beat someone in the top 5 who had just fought a title eliminator. Beating a top 5 opponent is much more impressive than a top 10 opponent, and by custom most fighters have had to get a top 5 win for a title shot anyways. Plus, burns also beat wonderboy, shavkat best win


I want them to do some kind of title eliminator for the next title fight. I made this post becuase people are acting like shavkat is the most deserving, when he isn’t. No one is mentioning that JDM is injured, they just think that shavkat deserves it more

If a title fight was booked next month based on merit then JDM should get it

I’m not going to argue with a 3-2 4-4 sort of argument because that’s not how rankings work and that’s not how title shots work

Erceg got a title shot becuase flyweight is a joke and we all know it’s a joke

Title shots are earned off fighting the highest ranked guys to earn it. JDM has a higher ranked win that’s more impressive than any of shavkats

And I did MMA math on burns beating wonderboy becuase shavkats best win still isn’t as good as JDMs best win

Flyweight has been like that for years. DJ was fighting guys that didn’t have a single win in the top 10 of their division

JDM is probably not even gonna fight this year, why wouldn't they give it to Shavkat?
Depending how the surgery went JDM might never fight again if they can't get that bone infection under control.

Also, like others have said...JDM has struggled against lesser opponents so its not like he's just storming through folks.
Shavkat had one mid performance and still got the finish and that was against a guy that has a win iver the current champ.

It's pretty crazy the guy has finished everyone in front of him but people want to put others above him. Shavkat would be a favorite over the entire top 15 in vegas odds.

Shavkat was already #5 when he beat #6 Wonderboy, as he had already beaten #10 Magny and #7 Neal.

JDM was #11 when he beat #4 Burns, because his only ranked win at the time was #13 Holland.

JDM's benefit from that booking was getting a huge jump in the rankings. Shavkat was just solidifying his place.
