Brother, look up the Eastman Memos. Trump and his lawyer had it all planned out. The only thing that stopped Trump from overturning the election was Mike Pence saying no. Pence is an old school conservative that respects the constitution and democratic process. Eastman lost his law license because of it. It’s not some conspiracy.

That’s what makes it especially funny for Vance to be bloviating about democracy.. the only reason he has the job now is because Pence chose to stand up for democracy and respect the vote, and Trump fired him for it.

Why do some conservatives act like it isn’t questionable that the richest man on the planet, who owns the most prominent social media site in the western world, is trying to influence elections around the world? Seriously, sometimes I wonder that the delusion leftists have is just an act. If leftists accept reality, they would have to accept behind fundamentally wrong about pretty much everything they believe in. Why do you think they charged the capital yelling “Hang Mike Pence”?

Yes, Trump was doing whatever he could to stay in power, he was going to try the fake electors scheme but Pence didn’t go along with it, so then he filed lawsuits in several states, and accused everyone of voter fraud with Giuliani, until his own Attorney General William Barr finally declared that no widespread fraud was found, and then Barr resigned because Trump still wouldn’t give it up. Then he wouldn’t even go to Biden’s inauguration.

I’m a republican, but I can still recognize that Trump is a power hungry egomaniac, it’s not like he is trying to hide it.

These the very things Pence is talking about. Just because you prefer one side, respecting the outcome of an election is a necessity, even if you don’t win. And even if it’s your side benefiting from undermining the democratic process, you should have a problem with that.
But ya, just clap along with Vance talking the talk, while the only reason he has the job is because Pence was willing to walk the walk.

The Republican Party was very different pre-Trump.

There are plenty of conservatives out there that do not like Trump or Musk. Sure, some people will vote along party lines, and see Trump as a means to an end.. but that doesn’t mean that everyone likes how he operates.

Both Vance and Hegseth looked ridiculous on the world stage. Vance goes out there and criticizes how democracies are running in Europe (pretty rich considering what is going on in the U.S. right now, under his own administration), and Hegseth says out loud that Ukraine will have to give up land for a peace deal to happen. We are not sending our best and brightest, but I am in no way surprised. Great job, MAGA.
