Is Jailton Almeida the dumbest fighter ?

He's pathetic and shouldn't be considered a fighter when his entire gameplan is just "blanket and try not to gas out".

His "fight" against Black Beast was just as bad too. He was literally just stepping over into mount with no resistance from Lewis and then just laying there lol.

If he loses his next fight I think the UFC will go ahead and release him. They've released other lame HWs who just LNP before coming off wins, so I'm surprised Jailton is even still on the roster.
I'd rather watch rozenstriuk If I'm honest. and by quite a bit... A low volume counterstriker at HW is rare.

Yep, I think he needs to be afraid for his job. The UFC dont like his sort, especially when they're at the top end of the division.

Ehh I kind of like a small HW owning everyone, out wrestling everyone. But it's like he's not trying to hurt them to prove a point, I don't even think it's fear of losing position. If he wants to keep that up he needs to atleast go for submissions.

Yeah, they did it with Romanov, and who was that other HW they released recently even though he was coming off of wins?

He is too nice. No killer instinct at all. He could be the champion but finds ways to beat himself.

Having met Rozenstruick personally... he is actually 6'0 and has t-rex arms. However, I always liked to watch the dude. He was like a computer... for the first 1.5 rounds he was just measuring his opponents and made the reads, then when he was confident that he has made the reads, he started to actually fight.

His sequence against Ngannou was a thing of beauty.... He landed 3 punches going backwards and dodging punches like he was in the matrix.

However his height and T-rex arm made him not live up to his striking skillset.

Cutting him right now would be more prudent. Don't even give him a chance to lnp to another win.

Remember when people used to say Almeida was secretly a K-1 level striker who had high level boxing and was only choosing to grapple so he could keep his striking a secret?
<{outtahere}>
To be fair he throws strikes so rarely and opponents are more focused on the takedown, that if he actually did throw punches he could probably have success with it. He caught Volkov flush with one of the only punches he threw.

they need to send him to thai land for 18 months. NO grappling at all striking only. Then he'd be a lot more complete.

His dad was pro boxer. I don't think striking training will help any way.

I can't think of anyone recently except maybe Williams, but he was coming off a loss. He only lost because the UFC literally told him before the fight not to do takedowns and LNP and be boring. He did that and finally lost. Was in PFL next fight despite that being his only loss in 8 fights haha.
