Media The kill or be killed fighter

Who is the fighter that will never lose a decision?

If he’s behind going into the final round, he’s coming to kill you or die trying.

I think it’s gotta be

Jiří Procházka

The man has 37 fights and he’s never lost a fight via decision. Although he had one draw back in 2014.

The way he just walks into fire after losing round 1 to take Rakic’s soul was one of the most impressive kill or be killed moments.

Mcgregor is one of the few other fighters that never had a decision loss, another pure kill or be killed fighter.

I still gotta give the edge to Jiri though despite Mcgregor always going for the kill, he hasn’t impressed me as much, that isn’t to say Mcgregor isn’t insanely impressive.

Who would you say is a fighter that will simply not lose via decision?

Good choice. A lot of people jumped off the Jiri bandwagon after his losses to Alex, but I still love the guy and think he's a great fighter. Very fun to watch.

Never actually seen one of his fights, some of them might have been fixed, but Shannon "the Cannon" Ritch had a crazy record on the regional scene. 58-90 with possibly all of his fights ending inside the distance.

Johnny Walker.
29 fights.
Three quarters of his wins are KO's
Two thirds of his losses are KO's

Jiri is kill or be killed

Conor is kill or wilt

Which is really still kill or be killed.

He empties his own gas tank trying to finish.
His choice to not pace himself results in his losses tending to come by finish.

It's all good though, Conor has earned the right to be framed in a negative light

_____________

I'll nominate Frank Mir.
He has got epic highlights and epic lowlights.

Jiri is one of the best examples

sleeper example is Daniel Pineda. "The Pit" never won a decision in his entire MMA career. all of his victories were via finish. he retired recently; i always liked watching the guy in UFC because you knew his fights were gonna be barnburners

Conor is a frontrunner.. that is it. He went full Condit vs Nick when he rematched Nate. He would have won more decisions if his cardio wasn't so bad.

Also Justin Gaethje
Max = kill or be killed instead of winning a decision

Oh.. stfu.. He pointfighted for 24:50 of that fight. It was disgusting. Pretty amazing KO though

For me, I also vote Jiri.

But I'm sure there's lesser known fighters who are like that too.

I just can't think of one off the top of my head.

Walker smartened up too. Rumble could wrestle. There are guys who are kinda like that, but not really always like that either.

I think Jiri right now is the true kill or be killed disciple.

mabye the old vet from pride
Sergie Kartarnov - 35-8 (25 wins by ko, 8 by sb, 2 by dec) 4 losses by ko, 3 by submisson. out of 43 total fights, went to decision 3 times.

Literally all of his fights, including more than 10 UFC bouts ended in a finish, win or lose. Either he knocks you out or submits you inside a round or exhausts himself trying to and gets finished later.

Look no Further than Todd Duffee. He took two extremely brutal shots and lost consciousness trying to cause some malicious harm to someone else. Respect.

McGregor was not the kill or be killed type.
If he didn't get the kill in the firsts two, he'd likely be killed because of his cardio and lack of power and speed in his punches later on.
It was not a mindset thing.
And he won the Nate rematch going to the distance.

Jiri is the only current one that comes to mind.
