Is Jailton Almeida the dumbest fighter ?

Jailton Almeida seems to be the lowest IQ fighter on the roster currently. Ate elbows until he got KOd, was out striking Volkov but instead decided to lay and pray for 15 mins in an easily winnable fight for Jailton.

He’s gotta have the lowest fight IQ I’ve seen , he shouldn’t have even lost to Curtis or Volkov. His body is there but his mind isn’t.

He’s a purest grappler with some striking here and there. He’s Lesnar with a worse chin and even lower fight IQ.

He's pathetic and shouldn't be considered a fighter when his entire gameplan is just "blanket and try not to gas out".

His "fight" against Black Beast was just as bad too. He was literally just stepping over into mount with no resistance from Lewis and then just laying there lol.

If he loses his next fight I think the UFC will go ahead and release him. They've released other lame HWs who just LNP before coming off wins, so I'm surprised Jailton is even still on the roster.

Remember when people used to say Almeida was secretly a K-1 level striker who had high level boxing and was only choosing to grapple so he could keep his striking a secret?

Almeida is a really frustrating fighter to watch if he doesn't tap his opponent out quickly, if he submits them quickly then its fine, but as soon as it goes into 2nd round his fights are awful and very hard to watch. All of his fights that have gone out of round 1 are painful to watch

Not gonna lie he's seemed low iq his whole ufc career. He's done ok getting to the top 6 at hw. But he's still in a LHW body why is not going after that belt. Volkov & Blaydes won because of the freakish size difference. His wrestling would run threw guys there and he'd be the bigger guy usually.

Yah he's not very bright or he's very scared to lose position on top for some reason. His performance is bizarre to say the least.

No he's doing the best with what he's got. Jailton is a small HW's with very strong points but also big weaknesses.

This means the margin for error for this guy is very very small. Look at the Curtis fight, he was in control and winning, then he got locked down in a bad spot and it was over before you knew it because a massive HW was reigning down strikes on him.
