I've never heard of that lol. I don't train anymore so don't have anyone to try it on.
So, what, like you reach up behind your head, and then behind their head, and pull them in? How does that even stop what they're doing with their legs?
I'm not explaining it very well I don't think. You just literally stiff arm the back of their head. To finish the ankle crossover they need to be able to arch their back into it to get any torque, so by stiff arming their head you prevent them doing that.
