If Magomed Ankalaev win this saturday night, i will leave Sherdog forever.

Don't know why people are getting worked up about the possibility of Pereira losing.

Considering his age and the miles on him, it shouldn't surprise anyone if he goes on to lose this or his next fight.

The Ramadan is coming, won't benefit Ank, he had a world of pain against Jan low kicks, Pereira kicks are lethal.

Hopefully Alex get this done, he's dangerous but i think Jiri was more dangerous. We'll have to see if Ank have a granite chin.

Jones will never fight Tom and is looking for a huge, EASY payday against another kickboxe who can't stop a takedown or defend a basic choke

Think Nunes vs Pena 1, but Anky is a better striker than Pena

Second Rd Sub or GnP
He defended very well vs Jan, who has way more submission wins than Ankalaev.
Ankalaev is obviously a stronger wrestler, though, with great top control.

He also defended very well on the ground vs Jiri, who has very good ground and pound.

He showed improvements in his TDD too, in the last Jiri fight Jiri couldn't take him down.

I think it's very likely that he will be taken down, I just disagree with the notion that he's doomed on the ground.

If Anakalaev win against Alex this saturday, it will be a historic new low of champions in the UFC, imagine having merab...Belal and now Ankalaev as a champion....this would be terrible.

Then if it happen, i won't have any more reason to watch the UFC , i would call it a day, been watching since the GSP / Anderson silva era, then then the rousey/ Mcgregor era and finally the Andesanya and Pereira Era, i won't alllow to watch such a terrible lineup of champions.

If Ankalaev win this saturday, i will LEAVE the UFC and never come back. Chael Sonnen post-fight speech style !

Bro,

Merab is a 34 year old Bantamweight. People are starting to figure out his style. He is a nightmare matchup because he doesn't give you time or space to implement your gameplan. He just keeps on grinding. He's old for the smaller divisions and I don't even see him holding the belt for 2 years.

Belal has negative charisma, he puts everybody to sleep. He's turning 37 in July. His reign will be short lived. I don't see him turning 38 holding the belt (a year and a half).

Ank is not a boring fighter. He might not have a flashy personality but who cares. A lot of the guys who are great on the mic and big instagram personalities like Colby are just making up fake personas to cover up boring styles or to angle for favorable matchups.

Good luck if you leave but you might want to consider taking a break and enjoy life for a while and then come back. I can recommend hanging out in a great juice bar.....

ankalaev is good everywhere, he's just not excellent, he's patient, precise and will shoot at the good time, but he's very passive. We'll see.

It's definitely going to be a dark moment in UFC with so many boring champions. Not only boring but a ton of people that just feel like champions for being the best on that given night rather than being best in the world.

I mean, they usually have a few fights on a card. Who cares who the champs are, Dana has watered down the significance of belts. Volk might be champ again by not beating the guy who just flatlined him...for the belt

If that dude wins that fight vs that other dude, I promise to do stuff!

@helax you can take it to the bank!
