JDM or Shavkat are the only ones that make sense. Fluffy could have gotten the shot based on his streak as well but he doesn't have a top ranked win.

Volk is getting his payback for throwing the late stage of his career away to save a UFC ppv against Islam on short notice, I'm fine with it even though I agree with you that on a fight only merit he doesn't deserve it.

Who would you put against Pantoja instead of KKF? He just KO'd the guy who took Pantoja to his hardest fought decision and Alexandre has cleaned out the division, they just had to import a champion to get 49-46'd by him.

- Says he called his agent trying to get the title fight vs Belal, was "livid" he didn't get it

- Says it makes no sense JDM is getting it because he is coming off over a year inactive & injured

That's his issue. He is talking about needing 1 more takedown to win a close decisions vs JDM who is out there trying to destroy people. Ian dropped a fight where he looked good against a compromised Shavkat for a moment in the fight. If he went out there and struck with MVP and took the fight tio Shavkat he might have gotten that shot. Instead he tried to point fight and do the least risky thing in both fights possible. His run at the ranked guys is underwhelming.
