I think this will drastically hurt his legacy in the long run and fans and media wont forget. Especially if Tom keeps on winning and defending his belt. The more success Tom has the worse this will look for Jon.

Jon keeps talking about this "brand" he's building which is Jon Jones post fighting, him being goat and undefeated is something important in that respect, to elevate his brand. It's very very clear he's terrified to fight Tim and lose and hurt his brand.

I get what Jon is doing in avoiding to fight Tom and it makes sense for his brand. But this will go down as the biggest and most clear ducks in MMA history. And it could hurt his brand too.

Not even close to the same scenario. Mighty Mouse asked for 1 million which is extremely reasonable and on the lower side for an ATG that's participating in a super fight. There was literally 0 benefit for Mighty Mouse in that fight. Jones on the other hand is the HW champion and there's an Interim Champion that's cleaned out the division. He has an obvious challenger that he's outright refusing to fight.
