For all those calling for a "ceasefire" or "humanitarian" pause, let's be clear about what that means:

For Israel it means:
  • If Israel gets intel on where hostages are, many of whom are children and babies, they can't act.
  • If Israel gets intel about Hamas amassing forces for a counter attack, they can't act.
  • If Israel gets intel about Hamas leadership fleeing, they can't act.
  • If Hamas is blocking roads so civilians can't evacuate, they can't intervene

For Hamas it means:
  • They can evacuate their senior leadership to safer locations
  • They can set IEDs, and defenses to kill IDF troops when the ceasefire ends
  • They can prevent civilians from evacuating without interference from the IDF
  • They can reinforce their strategic locations with more old women and children
  • They can kill and abuse hostages or even attack Israel directly and if Israel responds the western media will blame them for breaking the ceasefire

you mean you think it would be better if he reported what he saw in a less emotional way, if I understand what you're saying?

No. I'm saying he's attached liitle details to make them more emotive and hamas more heinous.. waste of effort as Hamas's actions are by far heinous enough.

I see. I interpreted it as a person conveying their disgust/shock after watching the video.

Call me jaded on reporters being paragons of accuracy . <Fedor23>

I mean, I get the point.. lots of fake news and psychological warfare. I assume that the video will be released to the wider public at some point. To be fair, he is a known and "respected" reporter in the Netherlands. For what its worth.

I wonder how you wold have reacted if someoone told you to stop whinning on Oct 8?

Probably not well b/c Israeli lives are valued.

How will you react if some idiot tells yo to stop whinning after the ostages end up dead?

Again ot very well b/c you know ... Israelis are human to you.

Its not my inability to understand your simple minded, outdated, and racist arguments. Its that I dismiss them.

Why can you not understand the rules of war adn modern society apply to Israel?

If you trully beleive Israel has the right to kill every Palestinian alive in gaza for its bloodlust and to save the hostages, why dont you call for it in thsi thread, why dont you advocate for Israel to commit genocide on the Palestinains?

The Israeli lives have more value to me because they aren't terrorists and they are the ones who got attacked by terrorists. It makes them in the right and justified in their actions to me.

I already don't have high hopes for the hostages and I think sending a super strong and very clear message about doing that ever again needs to be sent and is justified

I don't see any war crimes I just see war and useful idiots shrilling about war crimes due to allowing themselves to be manipulated by hamas. I don't think they have the right to kill everyone but I do feel they are justified in killing until their enemy surrenders

And I'm not a racist. I defend Arabs in Dearborn all the time. This isn't that. This is a bunch of terrorists and their support system that needs to be dealt with.

I'm not advocating for Israel to genocide anyone just to kick the absolute shit out of the terrorists that attacked them and give them something to think about should they dare try it again. I don't think that's possible without total war and an unconditional surrender

Indeed especially in tweets. Undeniably evil shit went down which can't be dismissed

Clearly that isn't true. Look at this thread and all the people trying to downplay what hamas did. That wasn't warfare it was brutality like I have never seen before and an absolute glee at doing it. That's who Israel is dealing with. That's who they are expected to make peace with. It's not hyperbole or dramatic language its just honesty.

The Israel lives are worth more than Palestinain lives adn not a racist aint the best fit bro.

At least you are honest.

You mindset would have you fit well in Ukrain in 1944 and will leave it to you to pick a uniform.

Fair play on you for being honest.

Sadly I'm not as shocked by the brutality as most it appears.

Any diversion / sensationalism of the truth simply muddies the water for me and makes me doubtful of the legitimate truth.. it's like the boy who cried wolf for me. All power to you if you think the ends justifies the means.

NYC Public Defender Resigns After Tearing Down Hamas Hostage Signs

"A New York City public defender this week became the latest professional to lose their job after being captured on camera tearing down hostage posters related to the war between Israel and Hamas. Victoria Ruiz, 36, stepped down from her position with New York County Defender Services, the organization told the New York Post. In a statement, NYCDS spokesperson Lupe Todd-Medina told the radio station 1010 WINS that the organization found Ruiz’ viral sign teardown to be “highly insensitive.”

The video of Ruiz was shared on the social channels of the nonprofit StopAntisemitism, whose posts have led to a number of firings and resignations since Hamas invaded Israel on Oct. 7 and captured 200-plus hostages, including American citizens. Four days ago, an Apple employee was fired for writing anti-Israel posts that were highlighted by StopAntisemitism."

I mean, is it sensationalized? The descriptions of what he saw are some of the most heinous things mankind are capable of, no?

I can only imagine what is being done to the hostages right now, and to the captured Hamas terrorists to get information from them.

This is confusing to me. I keep seeing "Nobody supports Hamas, there's a difference between Hamas and the average Palestinian!" So okay...why do I keep seeing people caught ripping down posters of kidnapped Israeli children? Hamas are the perpetrators right, not average Palestinians? How is tearing these posters down NOT supporting Hamas?

Anyone explain how "nobody" supports Hamas, that ripping these posters down isn't exactly that?
