Grip and BW stuff for Wrestling

Whats up? I know what you mean by..its about time. I say that about everything. If I just had the book "Dinosaur training" when I was 12 years, dam I would be a very strong. I messed around with all different types of stuff durning my 18 years of training. So yes I have learned TONS, but not being speciific sometimes hurts in the strength department. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, 164pds by the wey and the worst bone structure imaginable..No excuses, but use what you have, :)))))))00

Why, do you have pencil bones or something?

I've heard of dinosaur training. Any good links on it that you can think of?

Dude, you don't have the book? oh man, you have to get it..

I will be purchasing it shortly. Thanks, Sir Duncon of the number '76'.

Tuesday:

Today, I couldn't make it to BJJ because of studying, but I was able to go to the gym for 30 minutes.

A.)
I did 13 minutes of the 30 seconds normal pace/30 seconds as-fast-as-I-can-go pace on the stationary bike (level 10), no rest in between. 3 more minutes than last time. yay. I will make it to 15 minutes next time. I could've gone to 15. I know I could of...I just kinda stopped...I wish I had a training partner sometimes, 'cause these past couple of days I just have not felt that much motivation...that'll change Thursday in wrestling practice, for sure! haha

B.)
Then I went straight to the treadmill and ran for 10 minutes at a 7.5 speed.

C.)
Then I did some neck bridges.

D.)
Then I made a poopoo and took a shower.

Then I made a poopoo

wayyyyy to much info..haaaaaaaa

I'll try to keep that info confidential from now on.:)

Wednesday:

Ran 1 mile in 5:31, then rested for 1 minute.
Then I ran another mile at 6:52.

I kinda slacked off on both miles...I should have pushed it more...especially on that second one.

Thursday:

Had wrestling practice with the University of Texas at Dallas team from 6:30 - 8:30. It was awesome. We also had a couple of top 3 state ranked high school wrestlers there, too. I did better than I thought I would. We did running and pushups situps after that, too. I was POOPED!!!! I wrestled HARD, though. I can literally, like, feel my lungs expanding and being able to hold more oxygen from all of this...feels great.

There was NO WAY I was going to do complexes after all of that. Maybe tomorrow....

Don't touch me.

Dangit! My thumb is all jammed-swollen from wrestling on Thursday.... I couldn't really tell if it was hurt that bad on Thursday, I guess because of the endorphins or something, but yesterday, my thumb was hoitin' bad. Today it does feel better, but hopefully this doesn't mess up my Rolling Thunder training...and yes, I am making excuses for my pitiful RT #! :D

Sunday:

Had a wrestling takedown practice from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. I have a lot of work to do. We did some conditioning at the end, in which I sucked the big one. I should've eaten something this morning...I felt depleted and dehydrated, like a zimbop. I'll do some grip stuff later on today and then edit this post...

EDIT:

OK, yeah, my thumb is messed up. This is no fun. I tried working with ze #2 and the Rolling Thunder ... yeah, that didn't work. The joint in the middle of the other 2 joints is the one hurting. Hopefully in a couple of days it'll be back to normal ... hopefully.

Well, this sucks.

The inside of my elbows were KILLING ME in practice. I practiced a little a few hours before practice today, and the inside of my elbows were starting to get really inflamed/aggravated, probably strained/tendonitis or some poopoo like that. I took two Aleves, iced my elbows, biceps, then a couple of hours later, I had wrestling practice from 6:30 to 8:30, and all was going well, I was not gassing AT ALL, I was taking guys down at will, doing a lot better than yesterday, and then my elbows/lower biceps started hurting BAD, like, to the point where if I got a hold of someone's leg, I could barely pull with any force ... ... so in the middle of live goes I had to fricking sit out like a wang-doodle and watch.... I'm not a wuss, but I sure feel low about not being able to practice. This happened to me this summer when I first started wrestling, so hopefully my elbows/biceps will adapt again.... I am not happy about this.   Any suggestions?

Of course, I did have an intense wrestling practice just yesterday, so.... ug.

Take MSM powder
Take two buckets
Fill 1 with really hot water
Fill 1 with really cold water

30 sec each bucket, alternate them. I suggest starting with the cold water :))) Do this anywhere from everyday to a couple times a day.

Just looked into the MSM powder ... looks good. I might order some pronto. Seriously, man, thanks.:)

I've had a sinus infection for the past 2-3 days, and my thumb is still hurting, so no grip stuff, either. This is no fun. :icon_cry2

Sinus stuff sux. Stay away from Milk products and take MSM powder, works like a charm.

Today I ran the stairs at the stadium of UTA, which was a first. Definitely a good run, then I ran a mile on the track after that.

Then I did some sit-ups, crunches, and neck-bridges.

I didn't go all-out on the run or anything, since this is my first time back working out after my sinus infection. Tomorrow I have BJJ practice. Woo.

Tuesday:

Had BJJ practice from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Learned so good reverses and am getting quite good at key-locking people.:)

After the drills and live goes, we did sprints/pushups/situps/bw squats/bear-crawls/rolls/army-crawls/etc. for about 10 minutes straight. It was tough, but I felt great and I was blowing past everybody in terms of conditioning.

Wednesday:

Today, in my running class (my 1 hour PE credit class), we played volleyball instead. It was quite fun, to be honest ... *feels shame*

Nothing wrong with VB dude, great game. Womens Beach VB is the best. :)))))))))

Yesterday, I tried Rolling Thunder stuff, and for some reason, my thumb doesn't hurt at all when doing thickbar or pinch grip, but when doing grippers, it still hoits. I'm glad to be back in it with the RT and pinch grip, though both of these are not as strong as 3 weeks ago since I've been out...

Rolling Thunder timed single holds.

Pinch grip w/ 2 25lb plates.

Front/side neck bridges.

I'm off to wrestling practice now, and after that I'll go to the gym and do my super complexes, post my workout, and then slumber.
