Going Rogue

Actually, I think smashius just won.

But all that stuff sounds really super, fatty...

Build me a new robotic eye that will somehow help me lift 900 lb squats and close the CoC #4 with ease??

Never dabbled in bioeng before....but I think my first attempt would envolve a superhuman liver for yours truly.

Besides, I still think you should get an awesome pirate patch for that shit. ARRRGHHH!

In theory, yes, the howitzer sounds great. But is it buildable with a Harbor Freight welder? That, I'll need to see to believe.

You have a point. I'm not so sure the post master would find much humor in a package bound for the UK marked, "Howitzer...and stuff".

So what you're asking is "howitzer gonna worka?".

*Laughs uproarisously at own, admitedly rather poor, joke*

That wasn't funny.

OK, Tayon works on Mondays during the time we normally train together, so he rarely gets to squat with me. Despite this fact, we have talked extensively about squatting and he knows my thoughts on what a good squat day looks like. Even though he has gotten great results while training with me, he always seems to stray a bit on Mondays to go in his own direction. This morning, he sent me yesterday

He can pull 440lbs adn only squats 225lbs for a triple?
I would say, more heavy triples on the backsquat.

And what about exercise selection? Anything there?

Leg extensions and leg press out. Glute ham raise instead of hamstring curls.

So:
- Squat 3-5x3 / 1x20 (if he doesnt want to ditch the legpress he can do the 20reps there)
- FS 3-4x6-8
- Glute ham raise or poor mans GHR
and as he is more of a bodybuilder
- Calf raise

Agreed, get to the high end of that pyramid and do several sets.

His squat day looks a lot like mine, minus the machinage. The poundage is almost exactly the same, but he has a bigger front squat than I do. So I'm stealing Alon and Graedy's advice.

*puts advice in pillow case, smears toilet seat with ICYHOT, jumps out window into the night*

Get him off the leg extensions and ham curls. If he wants to leg press let him.

Change his rep schedule on back squats to something like this:
135 x 10
175 x 5
205 x 5
225 x 3
225 x 3
225 x 3

Front squats
3x6-8

Leg press
2 x 20 if he decides that he has to do these.

Rest 5 minutes.

20 rep squat @ 155.

Stagger out of gym x 1.

Thanks for the input. Perhaps he will take me seriously after he reads this. Here

There's too many members. Tell smashius to go on a banning spree in the MMA forum. That should make room.

Pectorialeses:

Bench Press

135 x 5
225 x 3
315 x 2
350 x 1 (hit pins, ruined rhythm)
390 x 1 (new PR)
335 x 2
315 x 3

Incline Dumbbell Press

110’s x 4
100’s x 5
90’s x 5
85’s x 5

Dips

BW + 45 x 8
BW + 90 x 5
BW + 90 x 5

(Brace yourselves)

Tayon was feeling a bit dejected as his bench numbers have stalled the last couple weeks and we live in a gym full of bench monkeys, so…

Cable Crossovers (3 sets)

(just for Tayon)

Ab Wheel Rollouts (from feet with stopper)

75% ROM x 5
80% ROM x 3
90% ROM x 1
75% ROM x 5
Down ‘til I fall on face x 1

Standing Ab Cable Pulldowns (2 sets)

Tabata Futher-muckin’ Burpees

400lbs to fall soon. Good work. I sent you a mail so you can find out more about "the why" of your strength (aka your ancestors). :D
Tayon is like on of my trainees. Always one eye on the beachmuscles :D

I'm thinking 405, 4 plates to a side! Once you do that then you'll have to rep it a few times.

Graedy/Fatty,
Since I moved (sort of) I stopped lifting. I'm basically focused on conditioning since my work gym doesn't have any dumbbells over 50 lbs (no barbell either).

I'm thinking of joining a gym, but I tore my old scar tissue from my hernia surgery (f*cking squats). I'm sure its torn and not going to get much better (been 10 weeks). Doc said she couldn't tell and wants to send me to the surgeon.

So I'm stuck, join a gym, lift, blow out my guts and then rehab and waste the gym membership or wait another month again to see the surgeon.

I guess what I'm getting at is Graedy/Fatty I'd like one of you to mentor me as soon as I recover or decide to blow out my guts. I was leaning towards Graedy because I think you shot some videos of yourself where I could get help on form/technique. I could do the same and send them back to you to critique.

Just a thought.

I'd probably opt against blowing out your guts. Wait a bit. When you get back to it, I'd be willing to help w/ whatever. Of course, graedy is younger and much prettier with his squat shorts and all, so he would be the logical choice.

:icon_lol: Is it equipped to use those shorts?
I guess fatty would be the better choice as he has much more experience and Im still a weakling (maybe except my pullups :icon_chee ). But I guess it wouldnt be a problem for both of us to help you out. So far I have 3 trainees, good progress and zero injuries in my "team". Creating workouts is a bit of a passion for me. In person I have a talent to transfer my knowledge aka teach.
So, yes.... I feel qualified to do this although my numbers are still shit.

Edit: I dont have put up vids so far. But as the new mobile of my friend can even make vids in decent quality I will maybe post some soon.
