This coming Saturday in the UFC 321 main event, Tom Aspinall makes the first defense of his undisputed heavyweight title when he takes on longtime contender, Ciryl Gane.

The Brit currently has the shortest average fight time in UFC history and it is unknown how he would perform past the second round.

And because of that, ahead of their scheduled five round fight, Gane has stated that he wants to take Aspinall into ‘deep waters’ by using his footwork and distance.

“Did he actually use the words ‘deep waters’?” Aspinall questioned at the UFC 321 media day.

“Everybody who has said the words ‘deep waters’ gets knocked out in the first minute, go back and check the media that you’ve done. So, I’m pretty happy with that, that’s good,” the champion continued.

Over the years, MMA fans have become used to seeing betting slips posted by world famous artist, Drake, and it has become somewhat of a curse to fighters that he bets on.

However, ahead of the clash in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, popular female rapper Cardi B has placed big money on the main event, wagering a whopping $250,000 on Aspinall to retain his title.

Hopefully for Aspinall’s sake, this isn’t the birth of a new betting curse in the UFC, as contending with Drake is already enough for most fighters.

I'm just here to warn you that Cardi B's nipples look like hamburger patties. Google that shit at your own risk

She has some Martian nips

He's gonna take him down and submit him ala Jones. Not complicated
Yes I say 1st round sub is most likely OR Tom may just knock him down and then finish with his fists. He can do both.

Enf of the day, Tom has elite BJJ to fall back on even if things aren't working out. He can trip people and then pound them or sub them.

Volkov fight is worth watching again....

I suppose it IS possible that Aspinall COULD run into cardio problems IF AN OPPONENT can actually get the fight into rds 3or 4 or 5 but absolutely nobody has managed that whatsoever.

If an opponent can connect a hard shot on Tom's face of chin, then yes he COULD go down or be in trouble but the dude is just very fast and tends to see shots coming.

I think Aspinall's skills are simply TOO wide-ranging for 98% of HW opponents.

PICK
Aspinall wins at 2m37secs of rd.1 via head-and-arm choke
.

(You can all have a laugh if I got it horribly wrong, I really don't mind!!)

Aspinall has quite a few ways to beat Gane and will be ready for any possibility.

But I predict he'll knock him out early. Aspinall is simply too fast and all it takes is one. Gane won't be able to avoid it for long.

Sad we don’t have a big nog in this era to zombie through his offense and test him

You know we live in a fucked up world when people can throw around 1/4 of a million dollars on random bets without caring if they lose it or not. So stupid lol.

Also it's hilarious Cardi B is still popular, after bragging about drugging dudes and robbing them, what a person to look up to.
