Former UFC Champion Cain Velasquez sentencing this Monday

He's spent a little bit of time in jail already right? Plus house arrest? Will that count towards his sentenced time?

If so the dude could literally be out like a year from now or so

"This is awful" lol, it's more like a gift from the Gods or something..
He was facing 20 years to life, so yeah, he got off really well. Glad for him.

Pretty much a win for Cain, realistically the best possible outcome. Let's hope the remaining year in prison goes by without any issues.
Very much a win. 5 years with credit given for the 1283 days of house arrest (3.5 years). That's amazing for him. He's probably almost eligible for parole already.

When you’re out free on bail, I don’t see how that’s time served? The time served should be if you were sitting in a jail cell all that time.
House arrest is different than being out on bail. Apparently he was on house arrest for most of that time. I was not aware he was on house arrest. That was a shrewd move on the part of his attorneys.

Ah, the home arrest stuff. I getcha.

Yeah, I guess. But on the flip side, if people can serve home arrest or labor programs as an alternative to jail sentences, then I guess they gotta count when people are on them before the sentence too. To me though, any kind of presentence monitoring should just be considered monitoring.

Why would his son make up that guy puting his paws on his private parts ? To the point it made Cain, as a father, go as far as do what he did ?

Like why would a 4 year old randomly make up stories about getting touched ?
It's a 4 year old. Again, I don't know how you keep jumping to calling it a lie as if it's some purposeful misleading, as opposed to a mind not processing what's going on. That's how false reports become more prevalent with younger ages. It's a struggle to interpret things.

From the first interviews, it sounded like Cain's son was at the daycare all the time in pants that had zippers. It was reported that the kid struggles with zippers (kids usually get the ability to fully operate all sizes of buttons and zippers altogether in the 4-6 range), but still needed to use the bathroom, which means someone has to help him unzip his pants. It's really not hard to see how that becomes the person touching you in a private area, and it happening "every time," which then becomes '100's of times.'

If someone touches your pants and because of that contact, your pants also contact your dick, you would know well enough to say that they didn't touch your dick, but would a 4 year old parse out that difference? Or the possibility that the kid thinks the entire groin area counts as being his penis being touched? Do you think the sentence "To be more specific, officer, it was direct skin to skin contact between his hand to my penis outside of my pants" is something a 4 year old denotes and verbalizes?

It's generally a condition of release to ensure you don't flee prosecution. Credit for time served is for pre-trial custody, for situations where bail is denied or they cannot post bond.

You're using common sense and logic, so everyone is about to call you a :eek::eek::eek: defender and accuse you of touching children. I have to believe 95% of the people that post here dont have kids because they're talking like a 4 year old communicates like someone with a college education would. And don't get me started on the "he did what any parent would do." Nah, a smart parent would let the law do what the law does, and stay home and protect your family. Dude cost his family millions of dollars in legal fees, and now he's going to prison. Great work retard.

The accused is only accused of doing it one time, the police went with the "The child was there x days, and a child that age uses the bathroom y times, so it's possible it could have happened hundreds of times." They've had zero people come forward with any additional claims against him, they went through every electronic device in the house and haven't charged him with any additional crimes. Looking at all of the claims, and the evidence they've released there was one instance of him helping the child use the bathroom. But of course nobody here wants to hear any of this. One man is accused of abusing a child, and the evidence is flimsy at best. They want him burned alive. Cain chased 3 people down a busy highway shooting out of the window endangering hundreds of people. He shot an innocent person, leaving him with a hand he can longer use. The chase even went past a public school with kids in class, all of them could have been in danger - they think Cain should get an award. If the child's claims are true, that's terrible and I hope the guy is never free again and gets what he deserves every day that he's in prison. But Cain deserves far worse punishment than what he got. Once a month we get a news story of kids riding in cars, and there's some dumb fuck road-rager that accidentally shoots the kid instead of the people they were mad at but sure fuck it lets call Cain a hero because we use to watch him fight on tv.

Agreed, though I will leave an amount of room for new evidence. You and I have stated what evidence has come out which is just the initial investigation. Considering it hasn't gone to trial yet, if there has been new evidence, that wouldn't have been released yet. Some people in the area are reporting that they're 'in the know' and that other complaints have come out against the day care in the past. If that all gets brought up, then sure, there's some more smoke and we can reevaluate the presumptive innocence. But until that time, yeah, there are some real fuckin sure people in this forum for no good reason.

The reality is, they want the chance to throw up an anti-:eek::eek::eek: flag to feel special, which comes at the cost of actually hoping a kid wasn't molested. There's legitimately people on this forum who are so invested in their anger on this case, that one of the first feelings they'd get if it came out the guy was innocent would actually be disappointment. And they don't see the irony of how insane that is to normal people, especially with how quick they themselves are to accuse others

Dont forget to bring up your Santa Claus story

"My kid thought the Easter Bunny was Santa Claus so all P...'s are innocent!"
