I agree on the endangered everyone that was unfortunately around at the time.

I also think the context of how the scenario started being a parent I don't think he was in the right state of mind. I can't imagine what is going through someone's mind if that happen to their child.

Should he be pardoned probably not but I don't think a lengthy prison sentence is the answer either.
