Bigotry exists in all cultures. I was engsged to a girl from Taiwan who dated a Korean before me. They weren't happy about me at first but went ape when she dated the Korean. Black americans and black immigrants from Africa often don't see eye to eye. I understand what you are saying about native Americans and I can't comment either way on how I'd feel in that position. I grew up in a small town in Louisiana so the whites stood by the whites and blacks stood by the blacks. I went away from that and its why I love my hometown but could never go back.

Morgan more powerful than Theodore Roosevelt? No, they weren't. And those relationships were far more directly adversarial -- Teddy broke their monopolies while simultaneously protecting over 230 million acres of American wilderness from private development and exploitation. Trump also has far more similarities to (and admiration for) William McKinley, but I digress.

There are some groups of black people that would hate me simply because I'm white and are on the left. But these groups get smaller and smaller. I now have 3 mixed boys (half mexican) and a black brother-in-law. A generation or so ago this would have been strange or shunned. My boys will grow up enjoying the differences in people. Most of the fear is out of not knowing the other side. Lots has changed since the civil rights act. We elected a black president. Dont know of another first world country to elect a minority president. Tim Scott was leading the GOP primary for a bit. Asians earn more as a group than any other here at present. Our country will continue to grow and evolve imo and we are far ahead of others with opportunities for minorities, immigrants and women. Its not all bad brotha.
