FUCK!!!!!!

I'm terribly disappointed in this.

Not a fan of that match-up either even though it's great this will be a homecoming retirement.

On the other hand I didn't came up with a fight that would have looked "right" for that while thinking about it. You'd fancy any fight for Dustin before riding into the sunset?

Imagine being 0-3 against two different opponents and still be in 'one of the greats' conversations

Could happen

It'll be a fun fight, but I would prefer it not to happen tbh.

I like Poirier's chances against anyone who won't try to grapple him, this is going to be one hell of a fight.

Yes. I expect some serious damage being dealt. Both my gut and heart are going with Poirier though. He's lost a bit of a step, but he can stand and bang with anyone and hits waaay harder than Max, whose chin was just cracked for the first time.

better idea would’ve been Dustin vs Paddy and Holloway vs Olives for BMF while Mak and Topuria plays out.

Matchmaker for the UFC has the brain power of a spud

<DisgustingHHH>
Like all of that except for Topuria getting an instant title shot. Him vs Tsarukyan, book it.

Poirier getting to retire in his hometown.

Sometimes this sport is alright.
Home state. NOLA is a shit hole that none of us claim. 2 hour drive for him though, close enough.

Don't want this fight. No needle moved on this one.

The first fight was ages ago & it was max`s first fight w/ the UFC

The second fight was competitive and ended in a decision loss for Max

I don't have np with this third fight
Ya complain about everything

there's not a whole lot of fights booked that gets my dick hard.. sadly

usually around this time of year you have some crazy shit to look forward to the coming months

but nope

Islam vs illia
Jon vs Tom
Also Misha tate is coming back that should get your dick twitchin

what a waste of a fight. if Max loses for a 3rd time, it will literally kill any chance of being a contender for at least the next couple of years. if he wins, it does nothing for him. same with Poirer, he wins, so what? if he loses, wow you just lost to a guy you beat twice already.

I disagree.

Holloway is currently ranked 4th at LW while Poirier is ranked 5th.

Poirier is not the be all and end all.

If Holloway loses, he could easily turn around and fight Charles or Arman and be right back where he is. Let's not forget he already sent Gaethje to the shadow realm.
If you look at the title picture, Justin even though he lost to Max is more likely to get a title shot, now if Max wins he might get one. But if he loses he's going to be waiting for at least 3 guys in front of him, and one of them just knocked him out. Max is a couple high profile losses away from being a gate keeper at LW, he's a couple years away from being out of his prime. There's a good chance he loses to both Charles or Arman as well. It just isn't looking great for him if he loses this fight.

Agreed.

Question: is DP retiring 100%? Sorry man I'm out of the loop
yep. This is supposed to be his retirement fight. He's said it for a few months now he wanted someone big for his final one. As long as he doesn't get a win and then change his mind after feeling that post-fight high <lol>

Paddy woulda been great, but we know that's not a retirement fight. It's really slim pickin's.

But he has the belt in the poster, and it's on the line for this fight. How do you explain that?!

CGI, mate.

The world knows Max stopped being the BMF champ the moment he declined La Leyenda's offer to swang and bang at the start of their fight, and then went on to get obliterated.
