News Dustin Poirier vs Max Holloway 3 official for UFC 318 in New Orleans on July 19

Poirier is 36 and still needs surgery afaik
Max is still a full time fighter, Poirier has several jobs and isn't full time training anymore.

All factors point towards Holloway, apart from recently getting knocked out.
That being said I hope Poirier pulls it off.

The whole point of Max moving up was for fresh match ups and yet this is the fight they make.

Yep. So many potential intriguing, exciting fights now that Max is no longer a FW and they end up booking a pointless trilogy fight.

Lame, we already seen in twice before and its 2-0 to Dustin, its not like this is a rubber match. Its needless. I thought and expected the entire point of Holloway going to LW was we would see new fresh matchups and guys he has never fought before as he fought everyone at FW. It just seems really weak. So many new fights for Holloway at LW which would have been interesting.

Not surprised. He never should have gone down to 145. When you dehydrate yourself like that, you make yourself even more vulnerable to CTE.
