I think you misunderstand. Of course billionaires have an obscene amount of power. But we can always give them more. Levels of power that would have been seen as unethical just a few short years ago. Thats the experiment that Trump is running right now. Billionaires tightly integrated within (not just adjacent to) our government.

Elon's subsidies or funding actually provides results unlike the fraud and corruption we've been subject to for decades or worse which is finally being addressed (at least a little) instead of just spoken of in whispers. Maybe he will cut some of his funding, imagine that, how would your types spin that?
