Law Don't worry guys, Elon is going to police himself

Honestly how is MAGA okay with this? This guy is going through Medicare and Medicaid. He’s a fanboy of Javier Milei. We all know what he likes to do to programs like these. This won’t end well if he’s allowed to do whatever he wants. Every single American should be against this. We all know someone on one of these programs.

It's really simple. When the left used non-government individuals, like actors, to push their agenda, it's bad. When Trump is using non-government actors to push their agenda, it's useful.

I'm over the falsity of it all.

Everyone who genuinely cares about this country should be concerned that an individual who was not elected and not appointed through the normal vetting process is being granted access to any level of confidential information as it relates to regular Americans. The obsession with claiming the other side is soft, weak, losers, whatever is coming at the expense of actually paying attention to government.

And coming from the side of the aisle that was obsessed with the questionable actions of the Clintons, Pelosi, etc., and claims to want America first, the silence on this issues is deafening. I can see people agreeing with some of it but no one is actually defending it on American grounds that stand up to scrutiny.

We're rooting out corruption. Ok, great. Why is Elon Musk, an unelected, unappointed individual with heavy ties to the government and profiting from that relationship, the person best tasked with doing so? Musk says that X, Y, Z was waste -- but who is verifying the truth of his statements? These are the little things that aren't being asked and so these are the indicators that there's no internal checks or balances within the party itself.

Whiney TDS'ers gonna whine... If the guy commits crimes or performs unethically then we punish him severely, why not that? Why cry about and promote hypotheticals as if they're reality? Of course corruption is possible, it's what we elected Trump to deal with and obviously what's being dealt with... The insane waste and corruption most of us always knew was out of control is being found out and stopped, where is the evidence Elon is stealing or lying or conniving in his efforts to core out the infection? No one wants Elon to fleece The US taxpayers... We've been relatively powerless to address the astronomical corruption from the scum politicians for decades but now we have a chance...

Very true. If there is one thing that America does well, it's holding billionaires accountable.

You also make an excellent point about electing Donald J Trump to end corruption in Washington. It totally makes sense to elect a very corrupt person to tackle corruption. After all, a very corrupt person knows corruption when he sees it and knows exactly how to stop it. That's why Banks hire bank robbers to protect their money. This all makes perfect sense.

I'll play the game... Your snark might be effective if we (Americans holding or not holding billionaires accountable as if by nature of being a billionaire one must answer to Americans for something) kept doing the same things and expected change, but we are doing things different now. The criminals who've seen our tax dollars as their salaries are going to have to answer for that... Our choices were Trump or Biden/Harris, remember that? If we as citizens of The United States want a chance at accountability for corruption in government and a stop to waste and fraudulent spending in government who might have been the best option, a guy and his dei tool who've been complicit and who've been benefiting from said corruption and who knows their role to conceal and continue it or a guy who's been targeted in every way by those who exist to perpetuate the very same corruption? Not that your final "point" deserves attention but of course banks have hired bank robbers to protect their holdings, who better to reveal a banks security weakness's than someone who's exploited them?

...spare me...

I don't trust Elon to not somehow divert funds to one of his companies somehow.

You know what's SUPER wasteful spending? Medicaid doesn't negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. They just charge the taxpayers an arm and a leg because they bribed all the politicians.
it is the 'data' Elon would want and not the funds.

With that rich data, X can finally not only be profitable but arguably moreso than FB or Google.

Did you say that at the time though?
I've always said it, if it touched on government intervention into Americans lives. I've never said it if the purpose is international American propaganda (because such propaganda is an important part of international strategy).

But there's a lot of nuance to that and, no disrespect intended, I don't expect you to do anything except try to boil such things down to less than pithy single sentence comments. If you're feeling particularly hale, you might do 2 sentences but that seems to be few and far between.

NPR gets 1% of its revenue from government handouts, Typical MAGA Rube screams we need to stop funding NPR.
35% of Space X’s revenue is government Welfare, MAGA screams TDS.
One thing I will say about billionaire Corporate owned media, you are fantastic at manipulation.

I see 'nuance' is your new go-to excuse for being inconsistent. I searched your username and 'Taylor swift' and you were singing a very different tune a few months ago.

Why are you treating this as a team sport? This isn’t how government works. You can’t just delete agencies over night without any sort of auditing system in place. Congress is meant to be doing this. Just let me ask you this. If a democrat was doing the same thing as musk is with a bunch of kids barely out of high school would you be okay with it? Answer honestly

Unless you're a billionaire we are all in this together and we're all going to get fucked by these thieves.

I'm with you. We've tried a lot of things but the one thing we haven't tried is giving billionaires even more power. That definitely sounds like a winning strategy.

Imagine giving the worlds richest man 10’s of billions in Welfare then unironically giving a 30 minute rant on someone buying a steak with food stamps.
I need to hire billionaire corporate media to help with arguments with my wife because oligarch media is hall of fame level of manipulation

We haven't tried giving billionaires more power as a strategy to move forward with our country and its people? Pretty sure that's been the approach for a long while except it's been clandestine, without a clear plan to benefit the country.

Cynicism is a fair approach that's safe but lazy. Don't go down with that ship though...
